RAOOF HAGHIGHI

Attend the private view of Raoof Haghighi's "Painting is Like Breathing for Me",

Raoof is a British-Persian artist who is currently living in Essex - UK. A self-
taught versatile artist who has participated in over 20 group and 40 solo shows
in the United Kingdom and Persia.

His art works have been exhibited three times at the National Portrait Gallery
in the BP Portrait Award, he won the Gold Memorial Bowl at the Royal Society of
Miniature Painters Award, his works were included in the Threadneedle Prize
2012, 2013 & 2014, RBA Royal Society of British Artists 2014 & 2015, Royal
Society of Portrait Painters, 2014 & 2015, Royal Institute of Portrait Painters,
2022. He won the first round of the Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2014.

He was also chosen Overall Winner of ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2011 by Artist &
Illustrators Magazine.

His paintings are mostly oil on canvas and built upon his strong cultural
traditions as well as his interest in the changing world of today.

His work often combines contemporary ideas with traditional techniques.

Raoof’s paintings are in numerous private collections worldwide particularly
Persia, the USA, France and the UK.
