At Thnks we have a culture of appreciation where we are always looking for ways
to spread more gratitude. In keeping with this, we wanted to make appreciating
the environment a seamless part of the Thnks experience for our users. Now, you
can add a carbon offset to any Thnks sent, powered by EcoCart.

IMPACT

Thnks carbon offsets will be used to support the Doe Mountain improved forest
management project located in the Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee. It
includes over 8,000 acres of mixed hardwoods and ensures that the recreation
area’s trail and infrastructure improvements are financially covered while
conserving Doe Mountain’s stunning landscape and improving wildlife habitat.
This project protects this land from alternative uses like subdivision and
development or timber harvesting.

THE CARBON OFFSET IS INCLUDED ON YOUR THNKS

The green bar on your Thnks clearly displays that it has been made carbon
neutral for your recipient. This is a great way to show that you’ve gone the
extra mile by ensuring that your act of gratitude was environmentally friendly!

CARBON OFFSETS ARE CALCULATED AUTOMATICALLY

Each carbon offset calculation is based off of the exact cost of offsetting the
emissions from manufacturing & shipping of each order. This includes the type of
Thnks (e.g. physical delivery with shipping vs. digital delivery with no
shipping) plus the carbon cost of producing the actual item (e.g. sustainably
sourced vs. items produced with heavier carbon costs). EcoCart calculates the
total lifecycle emissions created from your Thnks and donates the exact dollar
amount required to reduce those emissions directly to a verified project.

All EcoCart projects are verified by the American Carbon Registry (ACR). Founded
