MICROBIAL CONTROL:

HELPING US TO CREATE A HEALTHY AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT

Protecting ourselves from microbes is not a new practice. The simple acts of
washing our hands to remove unwanted germs and cleaning our teeth to prevent
decay are common forms of personal microbial control that humans have been
practicing for centuries.

As mankind’s understanding of microbes has grown, there is now a whole world of
increasingly innovative and important modes of controlling harmful microbes that
many of us take for granted. Microbial control technology has become a
sophisticated science that is essential to our everyday lives, safety and
well-being.

ABOUT MCEC

The Microbial Control Information Center is an initiative of five of the world’s
leading companies developing and supplying microbial control technology and
solutions, who are all members of the Microbial Control Executive Council
(MCEC), a group within Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council.

MCEC is committed to the betterment of public health through the advancement of
sustainable microbial control technologies.

This website has been developed to provide information on microbial control and
to showcase some of the innovative solutions that the industry has developed.
