WHAT HAPPENED?
Most systems running on the Windows Operating System are fck’d.
WHY?
CrowdStrike, a cyber security company, providing threat intelligence and
protection, shipped bad code on FRIDAY!
HOW TO FIX
1. PRAY!
2. Boot Windows into “Safe Mode” or the "Windows Recovery Environment"
3. Navigate into the
“C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike” directory
4. Locate the file matching “C-00000291*.sys” and delete it.
5. Boot the host normally
WHAT NEXT?
If it works, offer a prayer and sacrifice a goat to the cyber gods.
Otherwise, you're fck’d. Install Linux or get a Mac!
