Part of a wider initiative uplifting the ideas and achievements of immigrant
diasporas, TED presents a first-of-its-kind event featuring a lineup of
inspiring speakers from the Iranian diaspora whose bright ideas could help shape
our shared future.

Throughout recent history, Iranian immigrants have brought fresh, nuanced
perspectives to the places they choose to call home—open societies where they
can live, speak and work freely. As they flourish, Iranians lend their
creativity, industriousness, and cultural richness to the broader global
tapestry—to the benefit of all.

ABOUT TED IMMIGRANT DIASPORA

TED Immigrant Diaspora is a new initiative using TED’s convening power and
global media platform to uplift the ideas and contributions of immigrant
diasporas to their host countries. Our goal is to shift the global narrative
around immigrants, while showcasing the stories of diaspora communities to their
home-country counterparts. TED Immigrant Diaspora: Iranian is the first event to
launch this work. For more information about this event or to support future TED
