WHY DO I NEED DEDICATED MICROSOFT 365 BACKUP?

Protecting your Microsoft 365 data is your responsibility. While Microsoft
provides native tools for short- term data replication (such as recycling bins),
they recommend using a third-party solution. With dedicated protection
businesses get purpose-built tools for extended retention, data isolation
outside production environments, SLA compliance, and rapid, granular
recoverability.

HOW LONG SHOULD A COMPANY RETAIN EMAILS?

Retention policies can vary across companies and industries. For example, HIPAA
regulations mandate that healthcare companies keep records for at least six
years. With Commvault Cloud, you can select a pre-configured retention plan or
customize your own based on your corporate compliance retention policies.

CAN I HAVE MULTIPLE MICROSOFT 365 RETENTION POLICIES?

Yes, Commvault Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365, you can have multiple retention
policies and set them at the mailbox level. For example, assign longer retention
policy for company executives.

HOW CAN I PROTECT MY MICROSOFT 365 DATA FROM RANSOMWARE, CORRUPTION, OR
ACCIDENTAL DELETION?

Commvault Cloud is built upon a zero-trust framework, where all data is
air-gapped and isolated from source environments. In other words, Commvault
Cloud stores backup copies outside the Microsoft 365 environment, in a separate
security domain. That means data loss events that impact production data (such
as user error or an internal attack), cannot also impact backup copies. With
rapid and flexible restore options, users can easily and quickly restore lost or
compromised data.

eDiscovery for Commvault Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 provides a single
experience to preserve data for regulatory compliance. Using simple keyword
queries, users can uncover data buried deep within their Microsoft 365
