Paris is hosting the Games, an event which since Antiquity has united humanity
around the performances of a multitude of athletes who share the same love of
sport and fraternal spirit, marked by a humanistic and educational outlook.

The Union Bouddhiste de France is therefore delighted to be present for
athletes, their entourage and visitors at large in this very special year.

Buddhist chaplaincy in hospitals and medico-social institutions


The UBF's Buddhist chaplaincy has been authorised by the French Ministry of the
Interior's Central Office for Religious Denominations since 2013, in line with
the legislative requirement of secularism.


The hospital chaplain's attentive listening is that of a simple, human,
spiritual relationship with no emotional stakes. It gives patients the
opportunity to share what they are going through if they wish, to express their
fears or regrets, to confide their aspirations or spiritual doubts, and to feel
heard and supported.


At the request of the patient, the family or the care team, the chaplain is
present throughout the illness or at the end of life.
