Prestigious, well-established producers garage equipment manufacturers, such as
including Hofmann Megaplan, Rav and Cascos insist on partners who can maintain
the reputation of their for the products. At ISN Garage Assist, we have become
custodians for some of the best names in the business, enabling us to provide a
diverse range of equipment to suit all applications and customer requirements.


OUR HISTORY

In 2015 and 2016, Integrated Supply Network, America’s largest independent
automotive tool & equipment specialist, expanded its operation into Europe, with
the purchase of four UK businesses focusing on 3 core areas: garage equipment,
garage equipment service and garage tools. ISN Europe was born, keeping the core
of the four businesses and adding capabilities and functions to provide the best
service and products to UK customers.

Two of these businesses, Hofmann Megaplan UK and AMN Garage Services & Equipment
were more recently integrated into a single, homogeneous business unit. Hofmann
Megaplan UK was established in April 2004 by James Boon, the founder, and
current Managing Director of ISN Europe. Starting with just one model of wheel
balancer and two tyre changers, James firmly established Hofmann Megaplan as a
major player in the tyre service equipment market within just 3 or 4 years.
Within 10 years, Hofmann Megaplan UK had become clear market leader for tyre
changers and wheel balancers, with a comprehensive offering of other garage
equipment including an expanding range vehicle lifts and wheel alignment
equipment.

AMN Garage Services & Equipment was one of the businesses purchased at roughly
the same time as Hofmann Megaplan. Founders, Antony, Mark and Neil, none of whom
are still associated with the business, set up, and incorporated AMN in November
2002. Their focus was on the provision of installation, service and maintenance
of garage equipment, including calibration services for MOT test stations, to
the UK garage trade. Their main focus was on contracts with major tyre fitting
chains like Kwik-Fit and ATS Euromaster but also with independent garages across
the country. The business developed from nothing in the early days, into a
well-respected Garage Equipment installation and maintenance business, capable
of working on the majority of garage equipment being used in the UK.



While Hofmann Megaplan had a fantastic reputation for a white glove installation
and maintenance service for its own equipment, the additional expertise and
capacity that AMN offered was a great fit for the business.



To begin with, AMN Garage Services was renamed ISN Garage Assist but the
individual teams of engineers were integrated into a single multi-skilled unit
and, as the business developed under the ISN banner, new garage equipment brands
were introduced into the portfolio. Now, some of the world’s most prestigious
Garage Equipment brands trust ISN Garage Assist as their UK sales and
distribution partner; brands such as Hofmann Megaplan, Cascos, Rav and Balco,
ensuring that we’re able to offer a diverse selection of equipment to suit all
customer needs.

FAQS

Do you cover the whole country?

Yes, we cover the whole of the UK mainland, as well as most of the offshore
Islands including the Channel Islands, plus Northern Ireland, and we have even
installed product as far as Spain and Africa.

Where is your equipment manufactured?

Our products are sourced from various countries including Italy, German, Spain,
and the Far East. We are very clear about origin and, in general, the price
reflects the source, although this isn't necessarily a 'rule' For example, we
produce a lift under licence in China which is actually our most expensive 'US
style' lift. This is because we include a lot of European-source components and
spend a lot on quality of steel, welding and paint, as opposed to using the
opportunity to make a 'cheap' lift.

You have a huge range of tyre changers, why are there so many variations.

There are a few reasons for this, but the two main ones are the fact that there
are so many of tyre changer on the market, we want to ensure we can always
supply a model people feel familiar with. Secondly, we know that s and
applications vary massively someone doing low volume but handling rims worth in
excess of £5000, or you can have a company with incredible volume but they may
only be stripping tyres for recycling. There are literally so many preferences
and applications that, if you want to be a serious yre equipment, you need a
very extensive range.



Who is ISN Garage Assist? Is it a private company?

ISN Garage Assist derives from the original Hofmann Megaplan UK company which
has traded in the UK since 2004. In 2016 the company was acquired by one of the
US' largest independent tool distributors, who were looking for a foothold in
the UK to introduce some of their products too and expand the business and its
offering. The original founder of Hofmann Megaplan UK is still the MD of ISN
Europe to this day, and the 'family' business mentality is still very prevalent
despite being owned by a larger organisation.

Do you offer support packages for equipment to maintain it during its lifetime?

Yes absolutely. We offer a range of aftersales options depending on the type of
product. This could be a simple 6 monthly service and routine inspection visit,
or it could be something far more sophisticated. For example, for wheel
alignment we offer an annual service and database update to keep the system
fully up to date.

How many service technicians do you have?

We operate around 50 field service technicians for general equipment support,
but then we have dedicated alignment specialists, equipment specialists,
office-based technical staff and various other specialist technical support
mechanisms.
