   Polsinelli Names Ruben Chuquimia Office Managing Partner in St. Louis
   Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Shareholder Ruben K.
   Chuquimia has been named the new Office Managing Partner of the firm’s St.
   Louis office, effective June 1, 2023. Chuquimia is assuming the role

   Polsinelli Advises Illinois’ Largest Nonprofit Retirement Community on
   Chapter 11 Proceedings and Potential Sale
   Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli recently advised client Friendship Village of
   Schaumburg, the largest nonprofit retirement community in Illinois, in the
   company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and potential sale. Friendship
   Village of Schaumburg operates an 815-unit continuing care complex and can
   accommodate up to 1,000 residents on its 60-acre campus, one of the largest
   of its kind in the entire nation. An auction is slated for Oct. 3, 2023, and
   the nonprofit aims to have a sale finalized by December. Polsinelli is

   to International Customer Engagement Platform Braze

   marketing technology company North Star in its recent acquisition by Braze,
   Inc., a leading comprehensive customer engagement platform based in New York

   The FAR Council’s Implementation of the “No TikTok on Government Devices Act”
   - Applicability, Limited Exceptions and the FAR Council’s Expectation of
   Impact of the Rule
   Background In December of 2022, Congress passed the “No TikTok on Government
   Devices Act” as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 to address
   the risks presented by the app to sensitive government data. This law
   required the government to develop standards and guidelines for executive
   agencies requiring the removal of any covered application from information
   technology. Covered application was defined as the “social networking service
   TikTok or any successor application or service developed or provided by
   ByteDance Limited,” a Chinese technology company located in Beijing. The
   Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released the implementing guidance for
   the No TikTok on Government Devices Act through Memorandum M-23-13 in

   States look to crack down on health care mergers
   California and New York are among the states that are heightening scrutiny of
   health care mergers, by giving attorneys general the ability to block deals
   or create new processes to review whether certain acquisitions could drive up
   costs or lead to the elimination of services. If hospitals are considering
   mergers or deals in the next year or so, the advice is, "You might want to
   give serious consideration to getting it done this year," Paul Gomez, a Los
