ABOUT ME

Yifan Wang is an LA-based Digital Artist who graduated from Gnomon School of
Visual Effects with a BFA degree specializing as a 3D Generalist. Yifan's
academic journey began in architecture, having previously earned an M.Arch2
master's degree from SCI-Arc. He focuses on hard surface modeling, digital
sculpting, texture and shading, and physical rendering. His digital art pieces
pursue cinematic representation filled with intricate details and lifelike
quality.



As a 3D Generalist Artist, Yifan excels at creating all the characters, props,
and environments needed to replicate the real world for films and games. He also
crafts high-quality color and texture layers for digital assets to ensure
realism. He is proficient with top-tier creative tools such as Autodesk Maya,
ZBrush, Houdini, Substance Painter, and Mari. When it comes to rendering, he
employs V-Ray, Arnold, and Redshift to deliver lighting effects that are both
creative and narrative-driven. Additionally, he has experience with
post-composition and color grading using Nuke and DaVinci.



Yifan enjoys nature photography and exploring the outdoors in his spare time.
