U.S. EMBASSY PARTNERS WITH KE SURINAME B.V. (SHELL) TO EXPAND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
TRAINING

On August 04, 2022 the U.S. Embassy in Paramaribo finalized a partnership with
Shell and Stichting Vonzell to expand the Embassy’s Youth Innovative
Entrepreneurship Program Suriname training program for young entrepreneurs. The
partnership will expand the YIEPS program Saramacca and Coronie.

The United States Embassy in Paramaribo, Suriname is proud to announce that the
U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) has awarded Stichting
Elisabeth Samsonhuis USD345,600 for the conservation of the Elisabeth Samson
Mansion in Paramaribo.


U.S. INDEPENDENCE DAY 2022

“Every Independence Day at an Embassy is an occasion to celebrate not only the
anniversary of U.S. independence, but to reflect on the relationship with our
host nation,” - Ambassador Karen Lynn Williams.


U.S. AND SURINAME WORKING TOGETHER TO MITIGATE CLIMATE CHANGE IMPACTS

The two-year SERVIR-Amazonia activity aims to strengthen capacities and
facilitate technical engagement with government, universities, research
institutions, and NGOs in the Caribbean. The SERVIR-Amazonia program is a part
of SERVIR Global, a joint initiative of USAID and NASA.


U.S. EMBASSY EXCHANGE ALUMNI LEAD INNOVATION WORKSHOP WITH U.S. EXPERTS

Almost 20 Surinamese community leaders recently completed an eight-week workshop
focused on innovation through an effort led by alumni of the U.S. Embassy’s
