The Covid-19 pandemic will only brighten the spotlight further, particularly in relation to whether businesses are behaving in an environmentally conscious way, considering their wider social impact and demonstrating good governance. Environmental, social and governance LIBOR transition The FCA has served final notice on UK firms setting out it expectations on the transition away from LIBOR. The FCA has made it clear that the Covid-19 pandemic has not altered its requirement that firms continue their momentum towards a full transition away from LIBOR by the end of 2021. LIBOR transition New prudential regime for investment firms The introduction of a tailored Investment Firms Prudential Regime (IFPR) will overhaul the existing prudential framework for most UK investment firms providing MIFID services.
