SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY!

A plea from your Community Lay Director and our Board of Directors:

Please be advised that we find ourselves in need of support from our SEI Community members.  It is always our intention to provide the best walks that we possibly can for our community, ones that bring glory to God first and foremost. In the past couple of years our costs have risen but we have not increased our fees. The costs have gone up due to changes in our arrangements due to the Covid restrictions and inflation.  We used to collect offerings at our Post Walk Gatherings. 

In light of this, we find that we have more money going out than coming in.  For transparency, we will be putting our last year's treasurer's reports on the website in order that you can see for yourself the credits and debits to the account. I know many of our community members are unable to support the walks by serving on them. In lieu of serving, I'm sure that many of us would love to support our community monetarily.  You can do so by making a tax-deductible donation.

Donations should be made payable to SEI Emmaus Community through PayPal (payments.seiemmaus@gmail.com) or by check mailed to Terri Hardy, Treasurer, 1564 State Road 350, Osgood, IN 47037.

The Board will be doing an updated cost analysis in the near future.  We are praying that with your support we will not have to raise the walk fees.  In the meantime, will you join us in supporting our community? We also covet your prayers in the decisions we will be making as we look at our cost analysis.

Volunteers are needed for our various committees. These are working groups, each handling specific duties necessary for the smooth operation of our community.  If you are interested in sharing your God given gifts and/or talents in this way, simply contact the relevant committee chair as list our Board of Directors page. RESIDENTS ENCOUNTER CHRIST

RESIDENTS ENCOUNTER CHRIST (REC) is a 3-day evangelistic outreach for inmates in local jails.  This weekend the men's REC will be in Jennings County Jail
in North Vernon.  Please pray as 42 residents participate in this amazing encounter with Jesus.  The women's REC will be next week.  If you would like to 
attend Candlelight, please meet at 6:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 240 West Poplar Street, North Vernon, Indiana.

Fellowship at 5 p.m., pitch in dinner at 6 p.m., and worship at 7 p.m.

Update:
A bridge is out on 350 between Delaware and Osgood. The detour is narrow, curvy and hilly and takes about 30 minutes to go 5 miles. A better alternative is to take 6550 through Versailles than north on 421 to Osgood. 

Or if you're coming from Batesville exit off I 74 south and go south on 229 then left which is east on 46 then south on 129 6.6 miles turn right which is west on Indiana 48 minus go 6.8 miles to Napoleon then left which is south on 421 into a Osgood.
