Sprouting up in Tooting, the stencil painting depicts a young boy in the classic Bansky-esque black and while spray paint style, holding a bright blue balloon with 'NHS' written on it in white. Images of the artwork have been circulating online after it was spotted outside St George's Hospital in Tooting. Taking to Twitter, one user wrote: "This Banksy-style street art has recently sprung up on Cranmer Terrace in Tooting (towards the entrance to @StGeorgesUni) - we wonder who the artist is...?" Elsewhere, the artwork was shared to a local community Facebook group where people were debating if the painting belonged to Banksy. Shared by Chris Wilkinson, he wrote: "Fresh today in Tooting", with a snap of the artwork. He added: "Banksy or not?", and those in the comments were fairly divided by the close look-alike. READ MORE: Banksy artwork appears in popular seaside town loved by Londoners as everyone tries to work out what it means "If this is not Banksy, it's good who ever done it", Sue Seal posted, while Sally Hale-Jones questioned if it quite matched the skill of the world-famous artist. "Doesn't quite come up to the quality", she wrote. Meanwhile other commenters thought the artist should have tweaked the message in the balloon. "Should have painted the balloon bigger and red and put the words 'let's fund the NHS' instead", Jim Woodley advised. Elsewhere, Claire Turner thought the balloon should address the expanding ULEZ. She said: "Should say #STOPTHEULEZ." However, Shen Mehmet Inalpolat deduced that Banksy always advertises his work on his Instagram, and he had not done so for this piece of work, meaning it may not belong to him. "Not Banksy, he always advertises his work on his Instagram account", she wrote. The original poster, Chris, then replied: "I thought it may not be a Banksy, but you never know, hey!", to which she responded that whoever the artist may be, they are certainly equally as talented. "Whoever it is, is equally as talented", Shen wrote. PROMOTED STORIES B anksy's latest artwork which appeared in Margate, Kent, and depicted a woman appearing to shove her male partner into a freezer, made its way onto the artist's Instagram account. His latest work also garnered some attention from the media as the freezer the painting was created around was removed by the local council. They did however replace the item after ensuring it was safe for the public. What do you think? Could this artwork belong to Banksy?
