“SOCIETY EMPOWERMENT THROUGH DIGITAL AND ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION”



BACKGROUND



The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has caused significant changes in many parts of
people’s lives. Companies from all over the world are competing to develop new
ideas to get into the global market. Competition is getting very intense. The
innovations included a digital transformation strategy involving significant
changes to all processes, skills, and business models using digital technology.
This strategy was based on the advice of different global research institutions,
making digital transformation a common strategy for companies that compete
worldwide. The term “Digital Economy” refers to a way of thinking about the
economy that depends on information technology. Right now, there are more than
140 million people who use the internet. This phenomenon is an excellent chance
for the country’s digital ecosystem to grow.

                This conference will allow scientists, academics, industry, and
government to share their experiences with community development programs—this
conference is part of the contribution to the advancement of science and
technology that benefits humans. This conference aims to create a platform for
scientific dissemination between academics and practitioners. From it, the
collaboration will emerge to publish journals, other publications, and community
development practices. Furthermore, strategic partnership at the local and
global levels was expected.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES


 * To present the lecturers' knowledge in the Community Service Program.
 * To discuss and publicize the results of the Community Service Program.
 * To provide community development practitioners with the opportunity to
   present and discuss issues relating to community empowerment in larger
   communities across borders.

YOGYA'S MONUMENT


YOGYAKARTA

Yogyakarta is the busiest tourist city in Indonesia and is visited by many
domestic and foreign tourists. Yogyakarta is one of the smallest provinces on
the island of Java with an area of around 3,185.80 km2 and a geographical
position at 8º 30′ – 7º 20′ south latitude and 109º 40′ – 111º 0′ east
longitude. The Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta consists of 1
Municipality of the City of Jogja with 4 Regencies, including Kulonprogo,
Sleman, Bantul, and Gunungkidul have privileges compared to other provinces in
Indonesia because a Royal Monarchy leads the government in their province.
Because of this, as a tourism destination city, Yogyakarta also has the title of
a city of culture. Yogyakarta is the centre of Javanese culture with strong
tribal traditions because the Yogyakarta Kraton Sultanate and Puro Paku Alaman
lead it. In Yogya, there are also Hindu religious and cultural sites in ancient
times, such as Hindu blessed sites at Sewu Temple, Boko Temple and Prambanan
Temple in Sleman. Until now, the local community still upholds and maintains
strong traditions.

UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA

Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta is a Muhammadiyah College located in Bantul,
Special Region of Yogyakarta. It has the vision to become a university that
excels in developing science and technology based on Islamic values for the
benefit of the people. To achieve its mission, UMY has collaborated with various
universities and companies as well as the government so that they can have
strategic planning for the university. The real contribution made by UMY also
varies, starting from the fields of education, health, environment, and
community empowerment services. Therefore, this International Conference
activity is also one of the concrete proofs of UMY’s contribution to the global
realm.

As the International Conference Community Service venue, Yogyakarta is a tourist
and cultural destination have many tourism spot. To optimize the participants’
stay while in Yogyakarta, we also provide a city tour activity plan that
participants can take part in. This activity will be one of the options for
participants to have recreation after participating in international conference
activities.
