VAUXHALL EMISSIONS SCANDAL - GROUP ACTION

More than a million Vauxhall drivers in the UK could be due compensation
according to a new legal action launched by Milberg London LLP which claims the
car company installed software (or a ‘defeat device’) on 600,000 vehicles to
cheat emissions tests. Vauxhall drivers who purchased or leased their cars
between 2009 and 2019 could be due thousands of pounds each in compensation if
they join the group claim and it is successful.




The Vauxhall Pay Up campaign says Vauxhall drivers were mis-sold cars that
cheated regulatory emissions tests, were more polluting than promised, and were
worth less than the purchase price. Defeat devices are banned under UK and EU
law. We believe Vauxhall knew the only way they could get their cars on the road
was by rigging the tests.




VW GROUP EMISSIONS SCANDAL

In 2015, Volkswagen (VW) admitted to deceiving millions of people who purchased
their cars by installing ‘defeat devices’ into 11 million of their vehicles
worldwide. This software was designed to cheat pollution tests. This meant that,
when driving their vehicles, VW owners were unknowingly emitting up to 40 times
the legal limit of nitrogen oxide pollutants into the air. This scandal has come
to be known as ‘dieselgate’. There is a group litigation currently going through
the Courts and it remains open to VW customers to join a secondary group. See

HARGREAVES LANSDOWN SCANDAL

Financial services provider Hargreaves Lansdown actively promoted the Woodford
Equity Fund ahead of its closure in June 2019 and subsequent FCA investigation.
Allegations are being made that suggest HL’s senior management knew of certain
difficulties faced by the fund but continued to promote it to investors rather
than highlight the risks. Investors are facing losses of at least 50% of their
holdings.

We are investigating the experiences of investors affected by this issue to see
if HL’s conduct may give rise to a claim. Look out for further information

Facebook owes us honesty, responsibility and redress. We believe that Facebook
allowed third-party apps to harvest the personal data of the app user’s friends,
without their friends’ permission or even knowledge. We believe that any
personal data Facebook allowed to be passed to these apps was obtained
unlawfully and without the required permissions. Your friends’ consent is not
your consent. According to the Information Commissioner’s Office, this breach
affected nearly one million people across England and Wales. We are taking
Facebook to court for failing to protect the data of those affected. Find out if
