The accident occurred at the airport of the seaside resort town of Trancoso, in the state of Bahia, police officials told AFP. According to Agencia Estado, a private news agency, the passengers included US businessman Roger Ian Wright, founder of a Sao Paulo-based investment company, his wife and two children. The King Air 350 jet that had arrived in Trancoso from Sao Paulo crashed near the runway as it was attempting to land in the middle of a heavy storm. Authorities are trying to establish the exact cause of the crash. - AFP Posted 23 May 200923 May 2009Sat 23 May 2009 at 10:41am Share * Copy link * Facebook * Twitter * ARTICLE SHARE OPTIONS SHARE THIS ON * Facebook * Twitter * LinkedIn SEND THIS BY * Email * Messenger * Copy link * WhatsApp More on: * Accidents * Air and Space Accident * Brazil * Disasters and Accidents TOP STORIES * live JOHN BARILARO SAYS HE'S THE 'UNLUCKIEST' MAN IN NSW POLITICS AS US TRADE JOB TIMELINE SCRUTINISED * THE ECONOMICS ARGUMENT THAT COULD COST A TYPICAL AUSSIE MORTGAGE BORROWER $284 A MONTH * WE UNDERSTAND 'SUPPLY AND DEMAND'.
