  Product Finder Each CBS ArcSafe® remote racking system enables service
personnel to stand outside the arc flash protection boundary while racking low
and medium voltage draw-out circuit breakers, thus reducing the need for a
full-body arc flash hazard suit. Aid compliance with NFPA 70E relative to
protecting personnel by using external circuit breaker rack-out devices.
Universal Rotary Remote Racking Each CBS ArcSafe® remote racking system enables
service personnel to stand outside the arc flash protection boundary while
installing or removing low- and medium-voltage draw-out circuit breakers or MCC
buckets, thus reducing the need for a full-body arc flash hazard suit.
Extraction Remote Racking Each CBS ArcSafe RRS-3 Application-specific Portable
Remote Racking System is a portable, standalone device designed to remotely rack
a single type/style circuit breaker. These inexpensive, single-application
remote breaker racking systems allow the operator to use a hand-control unit to
install and remove a breaker while standing up to 300 feet away.
Application-specific Remote Racking CBS ArcSafe remote switch actuators are
designed to remotely charge, close, and/or trip various styles and types of
electrical equipment. The remote switch actuators are most commonly assisted by
strong magnets so that modifications are not required to your switchgear. This
also allows operators to easily move the remote switch actuator from one breaker
to another. Remote Switch Actuators & Operators CBS ArcSafe Chicken Switch®
remote switch kits (RSKs) are designed to remotely operate (close/trip) select
models of circuit breakers and motor control centers. Offering maximum
portability, the lightweight RSK products differ from other CBS ArcSafe products
by providing complete kits that include a handheld controller, batteries,
control cable, and actuator, all packaged in a customized Pelican® carrying
case. Remote Switch Kits CBS Arc Safe’s optional PD Alert provides an additional
layer of safety for technicians tasked with racking or removing circuit breakers
and motor control centers. In the event of a breakdown in line-to-line or
line-to-ground insulation, the PD Alert radio frequency (RF) non-contact sensor
issues a visual strobe alarm or digital alarm via email or SMS text message.

RSK-PMT

The RSK-PMT remote switch kit (RSK) for pad-mounted transformers (PMT) provides
remote switching operations for PMTs in applications such as wind farms,
facilities management, solar, and utility distribution.




RSK-CS01W

The RSK-CS01W, a wireless remote switch kit, operates control switches with
pistol-grip handles from up to 100 feet away, well outside the arc-flash
boundary.




ROTARY REMOTE RACKING

Universal remote circuit breaker racking system capable of removing or inserting
low- and medium-voltage draw out circuit breakers which use a jack screw rotary
racking mechanism while the operator remains outside the arc-flash boundary.

EXTRACTOR REMOTE RACKING

Universal remote circuit breaker racking system capable of removing or inserting
low- and medium-voltage non-rotary circuit breakers while the operator remains
outside the arc-flash boundary.

HANDHELD REMOTE RACKING

A handheld powered racking device capable of racking most rotary style low- and
medium-voltage switchgear utilizing a high torque motor, preventing operator
fatigue and reducing time spent within the arc flash boundary.

APPARATUS-SPECIFIC PORTABLE REMOTE RACKING

Apparatus-specific remote circuit breaker racking system which allows the
operator to install and remove a circuit breaker while standing 25 to 75 feet
away with a hand control unit, with radio remote option.

REMOTE SWITCH ACTUATORS

Allows service personnel to move, push, pull, charge, close, and/or trip circuit
breakers and other electrical equipment from a safe distance in conjunction with
a CBS ArcSafe RSO.

OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES

From CBS ArcSafe’s PD Alert partial discharge sensor option to a radio remote up
to 300 feet to a wireless video system, CBS ArcSafe has a variety of optional
equipment and accessories available for its remote switch and racking systems.





SECURECONNECT™ REMOTE OPERATOR ADDS ARC-FLASH SAFETY TO MOTOR CONTROL CENTER
MAINTENANCE

CBS ArcSafe® is pleased to introduce the SecureConnect Remote Operator for
Allen-Bradley® CENTERLINE® 2100 Motor Control Centers (MCCs), allowing
technicians to operate the SecureConnect safety system from up to 300 feet away,
well outside the arc-flash boundary.

With the increase in awareness of the severity and frequency of electrical
arc-flash hazards, OSHA realized the need to provide more direction and
regulation to its general language. The result was a final rule to 29 CFR
1910.269, the Electrical Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution
Standard which became effective on July 10, 2014. This was the first time OSHA
mandated specific arc-flash related requirements which go beyond general hazard
