* * CPR - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation HLTAID009

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation is designed to provide the
skills and knowledge required to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation) based on Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines to
suit the learner needs. This unit is compulsory for all workers who may be
required to provide CPR whether in community and workplace settings. This
course includes defibrillation (AED) training. Therefore, if you are
looking for AED training, this course will provide you skills and
knowledge to operate AED.
THE COURSE IS DELIVERED BY A QUALIFIED INDUSTRY SKILLED TRAINER AT OUR
WESTERN SYDNEY SKILLS HUB 410 CHURCH ST, LEVEL 3, SUITE 34, AT NORTH
PARRAMATTA
FOR GROUP BOOKINGS ON SITE OF YOUR PREFERENCE
Prerequisites
Whilst there are no prerequisites for this course, it is expected that you
have adequate language, literacy and numeracy skills and computer skills
to be able to interact with peers, trainers and completing the theory
assessment on line via MOODLE. You will also need to be physically fit
enough to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR
on the floor.
This course includes the following unit of competency:
* HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Delivery Strategies
The practical component of this course is delivered via face to face in a
classroom environment with a qualified and skilled trainer. The theory
must be completed on line via MOODLE prior to the practical class.
Learning strategies include role play, demonstrations, lectures, and
classroom activities etc. The duration of this unit is approx. 2 hours.
Assessment Strategies
The assessments involve a variety of activities including knowledge
questions, demonstration of performance, and observations. All
participants will be supported by our qualified and skilled team
throughout their learning journey.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled class as late arrivals will
not be admitted.
Cost: Fee for service $75.00
Competency outcome
On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded with a
Statement of Attainment quoting the relevant units of competencies from
above.

ATTENTION ALL TAE40116 CERT IV TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT QUALIFICATION
HOLDERS
THE TIME TO UPGRADE IS NOW!
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the current
qualification from the superseded TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and
Assessment. The TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment now
has 12 UOC,10 upgrade units, plus an additional two full units BSBAUD412
Work within compliance frameworks & TAEPDD401 Work effectively in the VET
sector. Credit Transfers (CT) may apply and will be determined at
enrolment.
To enrol in this upgrade course you must have the TAE40116 qualification.
Cost to upgrade to TAE40122 via Self-Paced mode

Assessment strategies - Assessments will be conducted in both summative
and formative manner, consisting of short answer questions, research, and
workplace-based projects. In case, learners are unable to find a real-life
workplace for their project, a simulation may be arranged in the
classroom. The candidate must show evidence of the ability to complete
tasks outlined in the elements and performance criteria of this unit.
What does the assessment involve? Please note assessments for this course
involve significant work both during and after the sessions. You will have
maximum of two attempts to submit your assessments. Any additional
submissions will incur a fee.
You will have the opportunity to complete Option 1, which is assessment
evidence or Option 2, which is workplace evidence and industry currency of
2 continuous years as a trainer and assessor.
There is also theoretical knowledge that will need to be completed,
regardless of Option 1 or 2.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) We understand some learners may have
already participated in assessment validation and planning for assessment
activities and processes as part of their role. If you believe you can
demonstrate current experience and/or relevant qualifications that match
the competency requirements for units within this course, please consult
with the Course Coordinator to apply for recognition.
Pre-requisite for this course Those undertaking this qualification must be
able to demonstrate vocational competence in their proposed training and
assessing area. Vocational competence is defined as broad industry
knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding
a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
You will need strong language, literacy and numeracy skills to be able to
successfully complete the required study and assessments in this course.
You will also need good computer knowledge e.g. create documents using MS
Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint, use internet including search engines,
print and share documents via email to successfully complete the course.
