SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE AMAZON RAIN FOREST Amazon Green Hope About ABOUT AMAZON GREEN HOPE VISION To develop a sustainable economy in Peru through green energy, improving public health, education and reducing poverty. MISSION Developing sutainable projects that help Peru grow economically, socially, environmentally and culturally. We want to develop a sustainable economy where everyone gets an equal opportunity to become who they want to be. OUR LOGO Our logo is inspired by the Victoria Amazonica, a plant unique to the Amazon River. The leaf symbolizes protection, one leaf of the Victoria Amazonica offers protection for up to one thousand different species of plants and animals. The Flower symbolizes hope for a better tomorrow for all the inhabitants of the Amazon rain forest, humans and animals alike. OUR PROJECTS ORGANIC WASTE Currently Peru has a vast untapped resource that could be used to create green energy. This resource is called organic waste. Currently most organic waste is dumped, in the case of Loreto into the Amazon rainforest. This is both a terrible contamination of the environment and a lost opportunity for green energy. WOMENS HEALTH Due to unawareness of the damage the HPV virus causes Uterine cancer is a huge problem in Iquitos. We are supporting a project that raises awareness of HPV and offers testing and treatment to women. LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Loreto is the most underdeveloped region in Peru. Investing in green energy solutions will create local economic activity. Improving both the climate and local living standards.
