10 TRIPLET BABY NAMES FOR BOYS & GIRLS

By Jessica Tucker
Published Sep 26, 2022

For those parents who thought it was hard coming up with one name, try coming up
with three!

via Wikimedia Commons

Parents of singleton babies can think that coming up with one baby name is
difficult to do. For those parents, trying to wrap their brains around coming up
with three names can seem downright impossible. And while it may take time, all
parents of triplets need to do is find names that sound good together, do not
have any offending initials, and will not embarrass their babies as they age. No
problem, right? It is no wonder that parents look for resources of inspiration
for triplet baby names for their baby boys and girls.

For some who have triplets on the way, it is a blessing from a name standpoint.
After all, if there are multiple names that parents like and they cannot narrow
them down, having triplets solves that problem. But for most, it is not so
simple when it comes to picking baby names for triplets. And because of this,
there can very well be more stress for those who are expecting multiples versus
singletons when it comes to naming babies.

RELATED: 10 Sweetly Paired Names For Boy & Girl TwinsHere are triplet names for
baby boys and girls.

10 DEAN, DENA, ADEN

A unique way to name triplets is to use the same letters in each baby's name.
Therefore, the names will be unique to each baby, but the letters will be
shared. Making sure that babies have a connection to one another from birth and
into adulthood.

Dean: According to The Bump, Dean means "valley, church official." It is of
British origin.

Dena: "Delicate or judged" is the meaning of the name Dena, according to
Nameberry. It is of English origin.

Aden: According to The Bump, Aden means "little fire." The name is of Irish
origin.

9 LUCA, LANDON, LAYLA

While some triplet names sound good together because they share the first letter
of a name, other times parents strike pure gold with the way the names roll off
the tongue. And when this happens, triplet babies will have names that can stand
solidly on their own. But when they come together, it is pure magic.

Luca: Luca means "bringer of light," according to VeryWell Family. The name is
of Latin origin.

Landon: "Long hill or ridge" is the meaning of Landon, according to BabyCenter.
It is of English origin.

Layla: According to MamaNatural, Layla means, "night." The name is Arabic in
origin.

8 AVA, MAX, LIV

The length of the name does not make the baby. Sometimes, the shorter the name,
the sweeter the name is. As such, choosing baby names that are just three
letters long can prove to be perfect for baby triplets times three.

Ava: "Birdlike" and "lively" are the meanings behind the name Ava, according to
VeryWell Family. The name is of German, Latin, Hebrew, and Persian origins.

Max: According to BabyCenter, Max means "greatest." The name is of Latin origin.

Liv: Liv means "cover" and "shield of life" according to BabyNames.com. It is of
Scandinavian origin.

7 BRUCE, PETER, CLARK

For those parents who love their superheroes, Bruce, Peter, and Clark can make
for great names for triplet boys. And who knows? They may just go off and save
the world as a result

Bruce: According to Behind The Name, Bruce means "woods" or "thicket." It is of
Scottish and English origin.

Peter: "Rock" is the meaning of Peter, according to The Bump. The name is of
Greek origin.

Clark: Clark means, "scribe, secretary, cleric, scholar, clerk," according to
Nameberry. The name is of English origin.

6 PENELOPE, PARKER, PAYTON

If parents cannot decide between traditional baby girl names or some of the
unisex varieties, then they should mix them up! Choose one traditional and two
names that could be male or female to make a unique grouping of triplet baby
girl names.

Penelope: Penelope means, "weaver" according to VeryWell Family. It is of Greek
origin.

Parker: According to BabyCenter, Parker means "gamekeeper." The name is of
English origin.

Peyton: "Fighting-man's estate," is the meaning of Peyton, according to
Nameberry. The name is of English origin.

5 JAXON, JENSEN, JIMMY

@the_cheshire_triplets decide that a great way to go for her baby boys' names is
to have them all start with the same letter. Something that is very popular to
do with multiples' names.

Jaxon: According to MamaNatual, Jaxon means "son of Jack." It is of English
origin.

Jensen: "Son of Jens" is the meaning of Jensen according to The Bump. The origin
is Scandinavian.

Jimmy: Jimmy means "Supplanter," according to Meaning of the Name. The name is
of Hebrew origin.

4 RUBY, OPAL, JADE

All babies are precious. As such, if triplets are all baby girls, choosing
semi-precious stone names makes for good choices for little ones. And because
the names are timeless, they will grow with baby girls as they age.

Ruby: According to FamilyEducation, Ruby means, "deep red precious stone." The
name is of Latin origin.

Opal: "Precious stone" is the being of Opal, according to The Bump. The name is
of Sanskrit origin.

Jade: Jade means, "stone of the side," according to Nameberry. The name is of
Spanish origin.

3 IRVING, HURLEY, KAI

If the family lives near the ocean or has a connection to the constantly moving
body of water, then choosing three strong names that mean the same may be a good
choice for parents to make when they have triplet boys on the way. Not only will
the boys be amenable to change by being able to go with the flow, but they also
likely will have a great connection to nature as well.

Irving: "Green river, sea friend" is the meaning of Irving, according to
Nameberry. It is of Scottish origin.

Hurley: According to SheKnows, Hurley means "sea tide." The name is of Irish
origin.

Kai: Kai means "ocean," according to BabyNames.com. It is of Hawaiian origin.

2 CHLOE, JOEY, ZOEY

Rhyming is just something that is going to happen for babies when parents are
having triplets. And if that rhyming can have names spelled similarly, all the
better!

Chloe: According to VeryWell Family, Chloe means "blooming" or "fertility." The
name is of Greek origin.

Joey: "God will increase" is the meaning of Joey, according to Kidadl. The name
is of English origin.

Zoey: Zoey means "life," according to FamilyEducation. The name is of Greek and
Jewish origin.

1 AZALEA, POPPY, ROSEMARY

For those parents who like a floral theme for their babies, choosing three
different types of flowers may be a great way to go when the triplets are all
girls. Be the flowers common and beautiful or exotic and unique, they make for
lovely names for lovely ladies.
