FAMILY CONTACT CENTRE

Help Handz Family Contact Centre is opened seven days a week for all our contact
service for children and families. We provide a safe, comfortable environment
that replicates a home-to-home setting. The centre has six rooms, with a
dedicated sensory garden room, a conference room for meetings and training hire.
All our rooms are well equipped suitable for children of all ages.


OUR CENTRE AND ROOMS

Our centre and rooms have been purposely designed to promote positive family
time in a homely environment. Some of the key features of our rooms include:

 * Sensory Room
 * Garden Space with outdoor activities including table tennis and football,
   Pool table, A Big Sand Pit and an outside playroom.
 * Family room with air hockey and table football
 * Age-appropriate toys throughout the rooms

 * Purpose built kitchen with cooking facilities for use by families
 * Sensory Room
 * All rooms are accessible across all floors
 * Entertainment available including Nintendo Switch, board games and puzzles
 * Smart TV’s

OUR SERVICES

Our staff team consists of experienced Teachers, Accredited Counsellors, Social
workers, Contact Supervisors with backgrounds in Social Care, Early
Intervention, Family Support, Children and young people fostering and Youth Work
Mentors. All our staff are well trained and supported and have an enhanced DBS
check.

Our Family Contact Centre offers a range of services that supports families,
children and young people to have contact within a safe space.  This includes:

Help Handz Childcare is a caring organisation that caters for the needs of
parents that need to meet their children in a safe environment for supervised
and supported contact. They also do respite work with challenged and non
challenged children and adults. I have worked there since July 2020 as a Family
contact support worker and with Molly the manager's encouragement I am now doing
Level 3 Diploma for children and young people so I can become a family contact
supervisor when qualified. Molly cares for the community as well as her staff.
She is a understanding, compassionate person with a background as a teacher of a
senior school. Contact Molly if you wish to do voluntary work here which can
lead to paid work and good work experience to further your own career. I very
much enjoy working at Help Handz Childcare as we are a great work team.
