Våra artister


ANNIKA NORLIN & JONAS TEGLUND

I vår släpper artisten, låtskrivaren och författaren Annika Norlin och
låtskrivaren, musikern och producenten Jonas Teglund ett fantastiskt gemensamt
album. Senare i år ges dessutom möjligheter att uppleva samarbetet live – då
duon beger sig ut på turné runt om i Sverige. När etablerade artister slår sig
samman för att skapa musik tillsammans finns en tendens att resultatet ej når
upp i samma nivå som när respektive artist släpper eget – men i samarbetet
mellan Annika Norlin och Jonas Teglund är detta allt annat än fallet. Singeln
’Jag hänger kvar’, det första smakprovet från debutalbumet ’En tid att riva
sönder’ som kommer i vår, släpptes häromveckan och mottogs med stor förtjusning.
Mötet mellan Annikas ordrika berättelser och Jonas noggranna, detaljrika
arrangemang kan beskrivas som nästintill telepatiskt, där deras respektive
styrkor krokar arm och skapar en värld lika komplex som hoppfull. Eller som de
själva säger: ”Albumet har gjorts under det jättedåliga året 2023 och därför har
vi sökt en lätthet, ett ljus och en tröst”. Fler stopp tillkommer. Information
om datum i Stockholm meddelas inom kort.

JONATHAN JOHANSSON

Det har stått klart sedan länge: Jonathan Johansson besitter ett av Sveriges
absolut mest angelägna artistskap. Efter 2020 års ’Scirocco’ – enligt många hans
mest intrikata och modiga album så här långt – släppte han återigen in ljuset på
den fantastiska ’Om Vi Får Leva’ 2022. Och där, på sitt

ALBA AUGUST

När Alba August, på en direktsänd Grammsigala, sjöng hjärtat ur sig i sin
gripande sång ’Isabelle’ stod det klart: En ny stjärna hade tänts på den svenska
musikhimlen. Skådespelare eller inte, det känslostormande framträdandet rätade
ut alla eventuella frågetecken och förvandlade dem till distinkta utropstecken.

En av Sveriges mest anrika festivaler – mitt i centrala Göteborg.




ÅRE SESSIONS

10 mil väster om Östersund, 16 mil öster om Trondheim och 60 mil norr om
Stockholm ligger Åre.

CAT POWER

Cat Power har alltid haft en befriande generös inställning till covers. Trots
att flera av hennes skivor med originalmaterial räknas som klassiker så har hon
släppt coverskivor sedan det tidiga 2000-talet. Såsom på den uppskrivna
’Jukebox’ från 2008 eller varför inte den makalösa ’Covers’ från 2022. Skivor
där hon visar att hon vid sidan om att själv vara en enastående kompositör också
besitter den där särskilda förmågan att tolka andra artisters verk utan att
förlora varken originalets magi eller den egna identiteten.

TINDERSTICKS

Jämt när nattromantikerna från Nottingham har hållit sig undan några år gör sig
suget efter dem påmint. Där är vi nu, i ett läge då vi verkligen behöver Stuart
Staples karaktäristiskt vibrerande baryton, märkt av nikotin och omkullkastad
dygnsrytm, lika väderbiten som vacker, omöjlig att ignorera. Och så musiken som

HANIA RANI

Det är inte varje dag som en klassiskt skolad pianist lyckas spränga
genregränserna, men så är inte heller Hania Rani vem som helst. Den polska
kompositören, sångerskan och pianisten har nämligen hittat en alldeles egen
fusion av modern klassisk musik och elektroniska influenser – en meditativ,
emotionellt laddad hybrid som har tagit världen med storm. Rani, som påbörjade
sin klassiska skolning för 27 år sedan, förblir förankrad i sina rötter bland
mästare som Bach och Chopin men placerar sitt uttryck mitt i samtiden när hon
adderar jazz, elektronisk ambiens och sinnrika vokala partier till sin
atmosfäriska musik.
