BAJA DESIGNS/SRA NIGHT RACE TRIPLE CROWN

Get your dirt bikes ready, we are going night racing! Baja Designs is proud to
announce that we have partnered with SRA Off Road Motorcycle racing to sponsor
the 2024 SRA Night Race Triple Crown Series presented by Baja Designs. This
three-race series will all be run at night at the famous Glen Helen Raceway in
San Bernardino, CA. SRA is known as the premier GP racing series in California
since 1970. Races are Grand Prix style which means the track has a motocross
section as well as some off-road terrain. The three-race series will all run
2-hour team races at night, utilizing the whole Glen Helen facility on the
almost 7-mile GP course that will challenge all riders. Each race will start at
just after sundown, ensuring racing into the night. The first round of the
series is scheduled for April 20th, followed by June 29th and the final round on
Sept. 21st With the triple crown series format, points will be accumulated for
the series championship at the end of the series with eligible racers racing all
three rounds for end of series prizes. Cost: $45/per rider on team; $55 for
Ironman Teams may have up to 3 racers and a max of 2 bikes Race Length: 2 Hours
Bikes MUST have proper off-road night lighting set-up; no flashlights/temporary
lighting All racers MUST have flashing red light mounted on the rider's back
Here is the full schedule for the night team races: As this is a night race, all
bikes must have a light to race. No flashlights or temporary lighting is allowed
on the bike. Need lights for your bike?  Check out our selection of Motorcycle
Lighting solutions for bike such as KTM, Husqvarna, Honda, Yamaha, Beta, Suzuki,
and  Kawasaki. For safety reasons, all races will need to have a flashing red
light that can be mounted on the back of the rider. Get your bike ready now and
mark your calendars for the first round on April 20th, 2024. If you have never
been night racing or a seasoned veteran of the night, this is the series you
don't want to miss! For more information on the SRA Racing and signups, visit
their website at https://sragp.com/ To get you amped up, check out Trevor
Hunter's ride from the 2023 SRA Night Race GP. See you at the races!

hammers. Behind every great racing driver is a great race car, and Jason's Ford
Performance Bronco is no exception. It features a mid-engine 800+ Horsepower
Ford Performance V8, sending power down to gear reduction independent suspension
portal axles. It has custom Fox LiveValve suspension and BF Goodrich tires. "It
is a Trophy Truck for the rocks," as Jason would describe, is a custom race car
that utilizes components from a Trophy Truck and rock crawler. This would allow
him to go fast in the desert and remain strong enough to crawl through the rocks
the size of houses.  While King of the Hammers is run during the day, off-road
lights are optional, but they will be crucial for races later in the year that
are run entirely at night. The lighting setup is rather simple for this race.
On the A-Pillar are a pair of Baja Designs XL80s, which emit 9022 lumens each
light emitting into Lighting Zone 1, 2, and 4, making it a great nearfield and
mid-range high-intensity light. We always say no lighting package for racing is
complete without XL80s, as it is one of our most versatile lights.    On the
bumper of Jason's Bronco are a pair of Baja Designs LP6s on a quick-release
bracket that slides in and out of the bumper. The LP6s has a 200-degree spread
of usable LED light; thanks to dedicated Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT),
there are 11,225 total raw lumens emitting into lighting zones 1, 2, 3, and 4.
On the back is the Baja Designs RTL, which is necessary and required for all
off-road racing organizations. While it not only serves as an identifier chase
light for competitors to see you through the dust, it also operates as a brake
light. There is even a white light function in the middle to operate as a work
light to illuminate the rear of the Bronco.  Unfortunately, this year wasn't the
race Jason wanted; it came down to a mechanical failure after leading a good
part of the race. That is what racing is; you always have to expect the
unexpected, take your losses, and keep moving on. Jason Sherer's determination
and commitment to racing is unparalleled, and we know he will be back out there
again to win the 2025 King of the Hammers. For now, he has some races to win in
Ultra4 USA.

BAJA DESIGNS WINS BIG AT HAMMERS | 2024 KING OF THE HAMMERS

That is a wrap on the 2024 King of the Hammers, multiple weeks of nonstop
off-road racing in Johnson Valley. What is King of the Hammers? It is to be
considered to be the toughest off-road race in North America, drawing in over
80,000 people over two weeks. Racers would find themselves driving all out
through the harsh desert and navigating rocks the size of houses; it is, without
a doubt, the toughest race of the year.  It all led up to the main event of the
2024 Nitto Race of Kings, where many gave it all, but it was Baja Designs driver
JP Gomez who would be crowned "King" for the first time ever. After starting
last place due to his DNF in qualifying, he passed every single competitor
through one of the toughest race courses in KOH history.  JP Gomez Ultra 4 4400
race car is equipped with a Baja Designs 30-inch OnX6+ light bar with
a race-legal RTL in the back. While he never needed his light bar during the
race, the RTL was in full force, as his competitors could see it cut through the
dust passing him on the race course.  The 2024 4WP Every Man Challenge (EMC) es.
The 143-mile racecourse comprised a high-speed, rugged open desert lap followed
by a second lap on tire-shredding rocky canyons. But it was Bailey-Cole who
raced the factory Ford Bronco not only in the Everyman Challenge but also in the
Race of Kings and the Desert Challenge. His Ford Bronco is equipped with Baja
Designs XL80s on the A-Pillars. The XL80 is one of our favorite lights, emitting
9,500 lumens per light utilizing 80-watt LEDS; these lights cover Lighting Zones
1-4. The Baja Vida Class 11 showdown has been a fan favorite for several years
now, and for a good reason: the grassroots racing and driver lineup make for
incredible racing despite lacking huge horsepower and suspension. This year was
no different. A massive crowd gathered to watch this race, and as usual, the
race did not disappoint; it was jam-packed and full of nonstop action. Blake
Wilkey was yet again the winner of the Baja Vida Class 11 Showdown. After this
race, it might be safe to say Blake Wilkey might hold the best and most
consistent record for Class 11 racing with 48 races, 48 finishes, and 43
podiums. But it wasn't only racing at the 2024 King of the Hammers that made it
so special; it was the community we cultivated there. One night we met up with
our friends from Bad Lines Good Times for a night run and taco party in the
desert 10 miles east of Hammers. We enjoyed hanging out and getting to know more
people who run Baja Designs because, at the end of the day, there is nothing
better than tacos and off-road adventures at night.  The 2024 King of the
Hammers is done and dusted, and we were out on the lakebed for nearly three
weeks, offering support to our racers and meeting new people. The 2024 King of
the Hammers was undoubtedly an unforgettable experience, and we look forward to
seeing what next year's event has in store.

ADVENTURE: A BAJA TRIP TO LA PAZ

Empty beaches and trails promise great and rewarding challenges that lay ahead
for those willing to give it a chance. It is often said that Baja is the last
frontier for adventure, from off-road adventures like the most grueling off-road
racing in the world, known as Baja 1000, to incredible fishing, surfing, and
hiking. No matter what, you are in the mood for an adventure waiting to be had
for anyone. Baja Designs and a few friends loaded up our Jeep and headed for the
border for an adventure to chase the Baja 1000, which started in La Paz this
year. With that in mind, we thought, why not take the long way down? We wanted
to create a guide that showcases our adventures, and we thought, why not start
with an adventure where it all began? Baja. THINGS TO BRING CAPABLE VEHICLE We
recommend bringing a four-wheel drive vehicle with a minimum of 33" tires; while
not completely necessary, it is highly encouraged in case you get into those
sandy areas so you can minimize the chances of getting stuck. We brought our
2018 Jeep Wrangler JL on 37-inch Maxxis tires and Fox Factory 3.0 shocks with a
ton of accessories. MEXICAN INSURANCE The truth is that insurance is required in
Baja. It is the law, and American insurance policies don't cover international
driving, even if you drove that vehicle from the U.S. But not all too often that
it is effectively communicated that it is needed. Fortunately, our friends
at Baja Bound can make sure you are covered with the proper amount of coverage
and can even recommend a few taco stands along the way. Anything could happen in
Baja; having the right insurance partner can make your trip stress-free.
LIGHTING Of course, the roads can be very dark if you are traveling at night,
and having the proper lighting is not only a performance advantage but a
necessity for safety on the roads there. While we always recommend our Squadron
SAE lights as a necessity for almost any vehicle, it is also important to have a
great set of off-road lights with great distance and nearfield visibility. This
doesn't mean you need a Trophy Truck lighting package to go explore Baja; in
fact, our Jeep is simply overkill and unnecessary for most people. Unless you
are prerunning in Baja and moving at 60-80mph off-road, you need a much simpler
setup. What we recommend would be a pair of XL80s or LP4s, which is phenomenal
lighting for nearfield visibility with great intensity. GETTING THERE Baja
California, the long and narrow peninsula that stretches southward from the
United States-Mexico border, is rich in history and cultural heritage. We aimed
to head south and crossed the border through Mexicali, and from there, it was a
two-hour drive on highway 5 until our first stop for tacos in San Felipe on the
Sea of Cortez which we camped on the beach. The next day, we headed for Bay of
LA or Bahía de los Ángeles, but first, we stopped at the Chenowth Museum, which
is filled with many historical Volkswagen buggies that have been racing in Baja
since the early 70s. To our surprise, we even found a few with Baja Designs
lights on them. We hopped on the highway and headed south, and to make the drive
a little more adventurous, we took a 25-mile off-road detour starting at the old
Cocos Corner. The views were nothing but spectacular, and we ended up in the Bay
of LA. After the course of the next couple of days, we headed further south,
stopping at the Misión San Francisco Borja, officially known as Mission Santa
Gertrudis, built-in 1721. There is a property care taker who was kind enough to
give us a tour of the historic building. We ended up staying the night near
there in a beautiful valley, and the next day, we realized we had a long drive
to La Paz, but along the way, we made a few stops for the incredible views in
Mulege.   BAJA 1000 When we finally arrived in La Paz the next day. We met all
of Baja Designs racers at the contingency SCORE International Baja 1000 just
before they made their 1300 mile journey to the finish line in Ensenada. The
next morning, we chased Bryce Menzies for the Baja 1000, photographing him along
the way , and for over 20 hours, we drove 1000 miles back to Ensenada for the
finish line where Bryce would win his first Baja 1000. The Long Way to La Paz
journey was more than just a thrilling off-road adventure for us. It became a
personal exploration through rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks like
the Chenowth Museum and Misión San Francisco Borja, and the awe-inspiring
landscapes that demanded the right equipment – a capable vehicle, Mexican
insurance, and the necessity of proper lighting. As we reached La Paz, our
journey unfolded, capturing the essence of Baja's spirit. In the heart of it
all, our involvement in the Baja 1000 highlighted not just the race but the
enduring legacy of our dominance in the lighting industry. It's a testament to
the spirit of adventure that defines Baja California, a journey that left us
with memories etched in the dust trails and starlit skies of this remarkable
peninsula. [rl_gallery id="294940"]

BLAKE WILKEY JOINS THE BAJA DESIGNS TEAM

We are thrilled to announce a partnership between Baja Designs and Mr. Shreddy
himself, Blake Wilkey. As we welcome Blake to the Baja Designs family, we are
thrilled beyond measure about the excitement and energy he brings to our brand.
https://youtu.be/nJgW0YFG9Vk?si=nnA2LD4uN9IpHyfN Who Is Blake Wilkey? Eight
years ago, a small garage fabricator, Blake Wilkey, made a video tearing up the
streets of San Diego with his insane 800-horsepower Baja Bug - it was called
Urban Assault. It caused widespread media attention on the internet. Ever since
then, he has made a name for himself in the off-road industry, being known to
"shred" anything he builds or touches. But today, he is much more than a
fabricator or a media personality. Blake is deeply rooted in off-road culture as
a racer and a figure in the off-road community. Blake's creations are a
testament to his versatility and ingenuity. From a nimble 76 horsepower Class 11
Race Beetle named "Slug Shark" to a screaming 560 horsepower Baja Bug called
"Megladon." But it isn't just old Volkswagens he tampers with; he has built
himself a mini jet boat and even a Polaris RZR. JAWS the TT Bug And just when
you think he's reached the pinnacle, he introduced "Jaws" – a full-tilt Trophy
Truck that is about the furthest thing from a standard beetle. While we will
eventually dive into every vehicle Blake owns, let's discuss the lighting on the
Jaws trophy Truck Bug. Up front in the headlights are Baja Designs LP6 with a
blue backlight, making a great nearfield and midfield light. On the bumper is
the Baja Designs 10" OnX6+ amber with a combo lens emitting 10,817 lumens into
zones 1, 3, and 4, making it an excellent light for cutting through dust while
providing amble distance. With the combination of those lights, it covers most
lighting zones crucial for off-road racing except for Zone 5, which is reserved
for the Baja Designs Racer edition lights. The roof light rack holds seven Baja
Designs XL Racer lights that throw light into a far-spot narrow beam for speeds
in excess of 80 MPH. The rest of the TT Bug utilizes an assortment of Baja
Designs Rock Lights in the fender and even uses them as lights in the vehicle's
cab with a Baja Designs RTL in the back. As a result, the Baja Designs on
Blake's TT bug is the perfect lighting package to go racing. While he has no
immediate night races coming up we wouldn't be surprised to see it in Baja one
day. A Perfect Partnership Baja Designs and Blake Wilkey share a common ethos –
a deep-rooted love for off-road culture and a commitment to pushing the
boundaries of what's possible. As this partnership develops, we're welcoming
Blake not just as an ambassador or racer but as a genuine off-road enthusiast
who brings incredible excitement to Baja Designs. What's Next? With this
partnership, the journey is only beginning. You can expect to see more exciting
projects and collaborations that bring excitement and innovation to the
industry. Welcome to the team Blake. Get the Same Lights as Blake   LP6 Pro LED

BAJA-READY RAM 2500

Jason Denny's minimalist Baja-ready 2018 Ram 2500 is a testament to purposeful
design and versatility. From weekend camping to rock crawler towing, its
dual-purpose functionality shines. Embracing a "less is more" philosophy, akin
to Baja Designs ethos, the build exemplifies thoughtful lighting choices
tailored to needs. Built for quick weekend camping adventures and serving as a
tow rig for his Toyota rock crawler, Jason Denny's minimalist Baja-ready 2018
Ram 2500 boasts dual-purpose functionality that makes it an incredible truck.
While the philosophical approach of "less is more" yields minimalist design
ethos results, it mirrors the similar approach we have at Baja Designs and sPOD.
While it might be effortless to buy every light in our catalog and throw it on
the roof of the truck, we believe it's not just about having the brightest or
the most lights, but about using the right lights in the right way, tailored to
your needs. Let's take a closer look to see what makes this minimalist Ram 2500
build so exceptional. Jason's Ram 2500 started out as a stock truck despite its
appearance as an AEV Prospector XL. Although not a factory AEV Prospector, it is
equipped with all the necessary equipment to match its function. Outfitted with
updated steering geometry and an AEV 3" lift, it includes the relocation of the
spring and forward axle movement to accommodate 40" Toyo tires. The truck is
even equipped with fender flares and an AEV snorkel. The custom Baja-inspired
front bumper, crafted by Kalil Fabrication, is equipped with four Baja Designs
LP6s illuminating Lighting Zones 1-5, along with two amber S2 Pros for cornering
lights in Zones 1 and 2. For nearfield fog lights and off-road illumination,
Jason opted for a set of amber Baja Designs Squadron Sports in Zone 3. Jason's
camping style is minimalistic, featuring a Dometic fridge, a few chairs, and
sleeping bags in the back for an easy camping experience with the Go Fast
Camper. To further enhance the minimalist design ethos of the build, Baja
Designs Dome lights are mounted on the GFC interior roll bar, providing Zone 8
cargo lighting. For campfire evenings or late-night rock crawler work, two Baja
Designs S1 Work/Scene lights in Zone 1 create the perfect camp area
illumination. The Ram is not equipped with an elaborate dual battery setup;
instead, a solar panel on the roof powers a Yeti 1500x for the fridge and other
accessories. To manage all the lighting on the truck, a sPOD BantamX with a
touchscreen is installed in the cab. While the option exists to run two switch
panels with one mounted in the camper, Jason utilized the sPOD Bantam app to
control everything from his phone while he was in the camper. Jason Denny's
minimalist Baja-ready 2018 Ram 2500 epitomizes purposeful design and
adaptability, shining as a dual-purpose marvel capable of weekend camping and
Toyota rock crawler towing. Embracing the "less is more" ethos akin to Baja
Designs and sPOD, the build showcases astute lighting choices tailored to
specific needs.

S2 SAE – SETTING THE NEW STANDARD IN ROAD-LEGAL FOG LIGHTS

When Baja Designs launched the S2 in 2012, we set the standard for a compact
performance off-road LED light. Achieving exceptionalism has been our journey
ever since, and now we strive to set a new standard in performance lighting yet
again with the Baja Designs S2 SAE, the next evolution of our SAE road-legal fog
light lineup. S2 SAE Features 1210 Lumens per light Aspheric projector optics
Plug-and-play solutions for many OEM fog lights Highly controlled light pattern
with sharp cutoffs Available in both amber and clear Sold as a pair starting at
$289.95 Size and Versatility The Baja Designs S2 set the stage for a compact
light; at only 2.93" big, the S2 is one of the most versatile lights in our
lineup. It can be used for driving, fog, cargo, and even chase lights. The S2
SAE takes this versatility even further, with its SAE-compliant design allowing
it to fit virtually anywhere on a vehicle. The S2 SAE will be sold as a pair
starting at $289.95 with universal mounting hardware and standard wiring
harness. Power The Baja Designs S2 SAE delivers an impressive 1,210 lumens per
light at a power consumption of only 12.42W. Utilizing advanced LED technology
and aspheric projector optics, the S2 SAE provides controlled, sharp cutoffs for
optimal visibility on the road while meeting SAE J583 fog requirements while
being available in either clear or amber. The S2 SAE brings the highest level of
road-legal performance for your vehicle in a compact size, no matter the
conditions. Projector Optic Technology The Baja Designs S2 SAE incorporates
technology from the all-new Next-generation Squadron SAE, utilizing aspheric
projector optics for a controlled sharp cutoff that keeps the light beam pattern
low and out of the eyes of oncoming traffic. This technology is relatively new
to Baja Designs, as we traditionally control our off-road light patterns through
a reflector and our Clearview optics for a vertical and horizontal spread.  To
ensure you have the right lights for the right application. The S2 SAE is
intended as road-legal fog light and for those who seek an off-road driving
light we recommend the S2 Pro or Sport models. For that reason, we created
ultimate utilization of performance lighting and road legal performance, we have
paired the S2 SAE with our off-road S2 lights on the 2017-2020 Ford F150 Raptor
and 2021-2023 Ford Bronco kits. Vehicle Specific Integration  Our S2 LED Light
Kits are designed to mount seamlessly into various vehicles without major
modification. Each Baja Designs S2 SAE light kit comes with everything you need
for a clean and simple installation, including mounting brackets, wiring,
harness, and necessary hardware. We create simple and practical lighting
solutions so you can spend less time in the garage and more time driving. We

BABES IN THE DIRT DUAL SPORT SUMMER 3

Since 2014, Babes in the Dirt has been providing inclusive events for women to
experience off-roading through our annual campouts, track days & dual-sport
adventures. Their mission is to provide an inclusive experience that explore
encourages all new riders to experience Dirt first, where you'll learn from
mistakes in a more forgiving environment and have fun doing it. Recently Babes
in the Dirt’s Dual Sport Summer 3 took over The Outpost, located in the town of
Fawnskin, CA, along the North Shore of Big Bear Lake for an all-inclusive,
ladies-only, four day three night weekend dedicated to street-legal dirt bikes.
And of course, we were more than proud to help support their mission as Baja
Designs was founded on riding moto. This experience included guided & swept dual
sport trail rides curated by the incredible WLF Enduro, lakeside hangs,
customized merch for the weekend, gift bags with some seriously great moto items
from Fox Racing, Giant Loop, Mystic Moto, Bell Helmets, 805 Beer, and more.
Breakfast, trail lunch, + dinners around the campfire (including Hibachi!) were
included, plus an awards ceremony and night rides lit by Baja Designs kicked it
up a notch. Husqvarna Motorcycles hooked up six lucky riders with brand new FE
350S to hit the trails that ranged from novice to advanced, with mileage being
roughly 30+ a day on some of the best mountain terrain and single track there
is. This 28-person event, though small, packs a powerful dose of excitement and,
over a sense of belonging, community, and comradery. Having Baja Designs be a
part of Dual Sport Summer and showing riders how their motos are even more fun
at night with the proper lighting setup was a game-changing experience that we
will be talking about for quite some time. Previous image Next image Babes in
the Dirt has been providing inclusive events for women to experience and the
recent Dual Sport Summer 3 event showed their dedication to empowering women in
the world of moto. With guided dual sport trail rides, lakeside hangs, and the
generous support of partners, the 28-person event fostered a powerful sense of
belonging and camaraderie, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees. Babes in
the Dirt continues to demonstrate the transformative power of passion and
inclusivity in the world of riding moto for women. Up next? Babes in the Dirt 8

series is scheduled for April 20th, followed by June 29th and the final round on
Sept. 21st With the triple crown series format, points will be accumulated for
the series championship at the end of the series with eligible racers racing all

JASON SCHERER ULTRA4 FORD PERFORMANCE BRONCO

Jason returned to the 2024 King of the Hammers again to claim his 4th crown of
For now, he has some races to win in
Ultra4 USA.

Race Reports

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING

"Absolutely love these lights, I have 3 sets of Squadrons and they are amazing.

has extra connectors. That’s awesome. Thank you!"

Richard Nuno

"Excellent light pattern and installed right into factory location no
modification needed"

Mark DiCesare

"I have purchased several Baja Designs lights and bars for multiple vehicles. I
think you guys have the best aftermarket light options on the market, and your
customer service is the best! 40", 50", squadrons, RTL, this bar, etc."

Colton Cook

"I love all my Baja Designs products and expect only the best in both quality
and output, and you guys deliver every time on all fronts. Keep up the great
work!"

Brandon Smith

"Put the XL80 on my supermoto and it has been FANTASTIC. Currently have 2 LP6
units on order for my Road Glide. Absolutely love Baja Designs."

Javier Arreola

"I have a 20in on my truck and a 30in on my razor. Both are very bright and
reliable. They are well built, and I think they will last a long time."

Kirk Wilkerson

"Great product. Light color is far easier on the eyes than previous products
purchased. This Light will be put to the test in temperatures from +30*C to
-45*C, rain, mud, snow & ice in the god forsaken oilfield land of Wabasca
Alberta."

Daniel Szever

"Just got them mounted and they are SUPER BRIGHT!"

Kenneth Leake

"BD lights are the best I’ve seen from both a build and performance aspect. I
have three ON-X light bars on my boat, and they have performed beyond
expectations. Recently, I noticed that my 30" light bar was only illuminating
one of four sections, and after contacting BD and troubleshooting the issue with
the tech department, it was determined to be unserviceable. After presenting my
original purchase receipt, a new light bar was sent out and delivered in a very
short time period. I am excited to get this mounted and look forward to many
more years of service with BD lights. Thank You."

Mark Rigsby

"Fantastic company and products. Highly rated. And your customer service is
second to none!"

Bryon Mayo

"Love BD. Product is well made, and lights are bright. Packaging is great with
extra work to conceal contents."
