I added new weapon and armor pieces, new abilities to learn for each class as
well as abilities which added new pet creatures to the game, plus the ability to
trade in materials for new materials as well as free rerolls for the character
abilities when increasing in tier. The other mods I picked all made mechanical
changes. Another mod increased the probability for characters to be gay or
bisexual. There were a couple of mods with events specifically related to
relationships between the characters: opportunities to change relationships or
just more time dedicated to showing couples or rivals being how they are. I
wanted to focus primarily on mods with new story events, so I scooped up a pack
or two as well as one well-reviewed single event. With that in mind, I started
downloading. Having played almost a dozen campaigns during my original time with
the game, I felt like I had seen the majority of the original events at least
once and there were certain ones I was deeply exhausted of. For those not
familiar with Wildermyth: most of the game’s campaigns are interspersed with
randomly selected events from a huge pool of possibilities based on the
personalities and relationships of the characters in your party, as well as what
other events they’ve been a part of. At least for a time, Wildermyth had a
decently robust modding scene and while I had tried a couple of cosmetic mods, I
didn’t particularly have a lot of experience with mods that made significant
mechanical changes or added new story content to the game. It’s a game I deeply
loved when I played it at the start of the year and its relatively short runs
along with a mechanical approach that fits my “comfort game” style very well
makes it a good fit for killing some time.Īs I prepared to start the game, I got
curious about what sort of mods might be available for it. So I decided to boot
up Wildermyth, the indie tactics RPG about creating a legacy of mythic
adventures.

Now sometimes I use that time to do other non-gaming hobbies but in this
instance I was really in a gaming mood. After an hour or two with each I was
ready for a break. While I had a couple of games I was poking away at – both
Splatoon 2 and Ganbare! Super Strikers – I didn’t feel strongly enough about
either one to keep playing them at a sustained pace. A couple weeks ago I found
myself spinning my wheels during my free time.

You'll find a lot of hidden doors and hidden items that way. My last bit of
advice is read the message bottles. The grasping ring is good, the amber idol is
used for transmutation which is how you get the harder to get weapons and the
boss weapons. I find the Flint and Steel and the Steel Centipede to be the most
fun weapons to mess around with. If you like range then great swords or spears
are probably your best bet. If you like heavy then the warhammer is fairly early
on in the game, after the third boss. They give you a nice bump into a skill
line but not enough to make a big difference. I would suggest paladin for the
starter, good armor and weapon early on. over all things people can recommend,
because im a metroidvania fan etc, i normally look around a place till theres
nothing more to discover Starting gift, unluckily they dont have a description
and so i picked the first out of them and realised its a healing gift, its ok
but what do the others do ?Ĥ.

(for example in dark souls 2 i liked a Dragon axe ( dont know full name anymore)
which was very fast and fun to use ( also it looked pretty nice)ģ. Something
that gives me a good feeling in combat, like having some range, like katanas,
spears, magic etc. i love hard hitting weapons, Heavy, strong, but slow or 2.
Weapons: i´m sometimes picky with weapons but mostly come to 2 varietys i like:
1. which starting class is recommended, i tried out knight, but the weapon
doesnt seem to fit my playstyle, And do they have some passives in the treeline
that are better in the beginning than others?Ģ. Finally, i was able to buy
myself Salt and Sanctuary and have some questions about it.įrom some reviews etc
i know its a good game i tested it a bit already and i like it already, combat
is fluid, first boss is harder than i thought ( his triple swipe got me more
often than i wanted) and the game is overall fun.ġ.
