PASSPORT SERVICES 


IN-PERSON SERVICE

Our High Commission in Nicosia offers a range of services including passport,
consular and notarial services.

These services are offered strictly via an appointment system and fees
apply (click 'Book Appointment'). Please book one appointment for each service
required.



Passport services are available Monday - Friday, between 8:30am and 12:30pm.

YOU NEED TO ALLOW A MINIMUM OF SIX WEEKS TO RECEIVE A NEW PASSPORT. PLEASE LODGE
YOUR PASSPORT APPLICATION FORM WELL AHEAD OF YOUR PLANNED TRAVEL.


MAIL-IN PASSPORT SERVICE

Eligibility: For an Adult passport renewal, you must be 18 years and over and
you will need a passport that:

 * was issued when you were aged 16 or older
 * was issued on or after 1 January 2006
 * had, when it was issued, at least two years’ validity
 * has your current name, date of birth, place of birth and gender, and
 * has not been reported lost, stolen, or cancelled.

IF YOU DON’T MEET THESE CRITERIA, YOU’LL NEED TO LODGE YOUR APPLICATION IN
PERSON BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

If you can answer yes to all the above, complete your PC7 passport renewal
application online and follow the below instructions:


GUIDE FOR ADULT RENEWAL APPLICATION (PC7) BY MAIL

1. COMPLETE YOUR RENEWAL APPLICATION FORM ONLINE

 * The application must be lodged within six months of completion

2. PRINT AND SIGN YOUR APPLICATION FORM

 * Print your application on plain white A4 paper, using blank ink only. Make
   sure your form has printed in full and isn't cut off at the top or bottom of
   the page.
 * Sign the form using black pen, within the signature box. Make sure there are
   no alterations or whiteout on the signature or the date.

3. PHOTOS

 * Two recent identical colour photos, less than six months old with your full
   name written on the back of one photo. Refer to photo guidelines for more
   information
 * Do NOT attach the photos to the form as this may damage them

4. PAYMENT

 * Complete the credit card payment authorisation form [email
   ncos.passports@dfat.gov.au and request for us to send you a copy].  You will
   need to include this completed form with your passport application.

5.POST YOUR APPLICATION

 * Post your application to

             Australian High Commission

             BLOCK A, LEVEL  7

             NICOSIA 1060

6. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

 * Please allow a minimum of six weeks to receive a new passport once payment
   has been taken. PLEASE NOTE incomplete applications will cause delays.

CONSULAR AND NOTARIAL SERVICES

Consular and Notarial services are available Monday - Friday from 08:30am and
12:30pm. For more information on Notarial Services and Document Legalisation,

Consular and Passport services in north Cyprus are located at Shakespeare House,
Mehmet Akif Avenue 29, Koskluciftlik, north Nicosia on Mondays between 09:00 to
13:30 and are limited to emergency or urgent passport and notarial services. You

We only accept credit cards and cannot accept cash or cheques. 

Please refer to the list with the passport and consular fees. Prices listed are
in Australian Dollars ($), but payment will be made in Euro (€) locally. Local
fees are subject to change monthly with currency fluctuations.

You may collect your passport without an appointment between 12:30 – 1:30pm,
Monday – Friday (apart from public holidays).

VISAS AND CITIZENSHIP

The Australian High Commission in Nicosia, Cyprus, does NOT have an immigration
function. Therefore, we cannot provide any visa or citizenship advice. 

Please visit the Department of Home Affairs' website for information on visas
and citizenship. 

You may contact the Department of Home Affairs via the online web form.

The Global Service Centre is also available to answer queries Monday to Friday,
9:00am to 05:30pm (local time - Cyprus), by calling Australia on +61 2 6196 0196
(international rates apply).
