Dear Valued World Vision Supporter,

Daw Yu's long and exhausting day starts early. Before her youngest child is even
awake, she is already on her long daily walk into the forest. This has been her
routine ever since she was widowed a few years ago. She tries to make a living
cutting and selling wood. Though it is dangerous and exhausting, her eldest
daughter, Yu, left school to work alongside her mother. It breaks Daw Yu's
heart.


 



 

Daw Yu's story is not the only one. There are countless mothers like her who are
working hard to provide for their families, and just as many children like Yu
who sacrifice a lot trying to help. They are all heroes! But even these heroes
wish they could do more for their families. What they desperately need is
someone special to give them a helping hand. Could it be you?

Daw Yu's life is already changing for the better. One of her daughters is in the
child sponsorship programme, enabling their family to own pigs that will soon
add to their income. With this help, they will be able to do more than just
survive. With basic necessities covered, they may be able to send Yu and her
younger siblings to school to learn, grow, and become who they were meant to be.
This would not be possible without the caring generosity of child sponsors and
donors who helped her change her children's lives for the better.
