Using real life scenarios and practical tools, you will learn how to:

 * Identify practical approaches for “reading” your COR
 * What to do when things don’t go as expected.
 * How to avoid landmines.
 * Learn how to keep things “positive” during the life cycle of the contract
 * Learn the best way to go about a course correction.
 * We’re in this together and will share things to avoid and things to embrace.

Training will be conducted by a former Government COR and Contracting Officer.

The Presenters

Elena K. Balovlenkov served as Government Contracting Officer Representative
(COR) for 9 years. She functioned as an experienced government healthcare policy
analyst, a registered nurse, and subject matter expert (SME), aligning her
Agency’s policy with defined contract outcomes. She has provided technical and
programmatic guidance to a major agency program ensuring the work of multiple
contractors met program and Agency objectives. Her expertise and leadership to
multiple Contractors and Government across programs led to this training to
discuss identified needs and issues related to COR expectations, deliverables,
compromise, and how to navigate life cycle of your SOW with tips on working with
your COR, even in times of disagreement.

Brian Hebbel is a federal procurement expert, consultant, author and trainer.
Through his 37 years of Government contracting expertise, he has provided expert
advice and guidance to Government officials and contractors alike.

He has 34 years of federal contracting experience. He was a Senior Acquisition
Official (Group Director) at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services,
Office of Acquisition and Grants Management. He provided oversight to three
contracting divisions awarding $1,500,000,000 in contract awards in FY 2017.
