JOINT PRESS RELEASE BY AVS AND HDB - PET CAT LICENSING SCHEME TO START ON 1
SEPTEMBER 2024

All cat owners can license their microchipped pet cats from 1 September 2024,
with the roll out of the Cat Management Framework announced by the Animal &
Veterinary Service (AVS) in May 2024 to improve the management and welfare of
cats in Singapore. AVS, a cluster of the National Parks Board (NParks), has
implemented a two-year transition period from 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2026
to help cat owners ease into these changes.

In line with Age Well SG, HDB will launch the Silver Upgrading Programme (SUP),
to help seniors age-in-place more comfortably by upgrading existing HDB
precincts with higher densities of seniors to include senior-centric features.

The Housing & Development Board (HDB), as the Government’s land sales agent, has
launched an Executive Condominium site at Tampines Street 95 for sale by public
tender today, under the Confirmed List of 2nd half 2024 (2H2024) Government Land
Sales (GLS) Programme.
