.NATO

The domain .nato was a top-level domain (TLD) in the Domain Name System (DNS) of
the Internet. The domain was added in the late 1980s by the Network Information
Center for the use of NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, based on the
rationale that none of the then existing top-level domains adequately reflected
its status as an international organization. Soon after this addition, however,
Paul Mockapetris, the designer of the DNS, suggested to NATO representatives
that nato.int would be a better choice. The TLD .int was created for the use of
international organizations, and NATO switch to using nato.int. Without use, the
TLD nato was deleted in July 1996.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO /ˈneɪtoʊ/; French: Organisation du
traité de l'Atlantique Nord; OTAN), also called the North Atlantic Alliance, is
an intergovernmental military alliance based on the North Atlantic Treaty which
was signed on 4 April 1949. The organization constitutes a system of collective
defence whereby its member states agree to mutual defense in response to an
attack by any external party. NATO's headquarters are located in Haren,
Brussels, Belgium, where the Supreme Allied Commander also resides. Belgium is
one of the 28 member states across North America and Europe, the newest of
which, Albania and Croatia, joined in April 2009. An additional 22 countries
participate in NATO's Partnership for Peace program, with 15 other countries
involved in institutionalized dialogue programmes. The combined military
spending of all NATO members constitutes over 70 percent of the global total.
Members' defense spending is supposed to amount to 2 percent of GDP.

Press conference by incoming NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at NATO HQ in
Brussels, Belgium, 1 October 2024. 🗣 | NATO Secretary General: Good afternoon.
And I am glad to see all you here today. Brussels has one of the largest
international press corps in the world and I am looking forward to be working
with you. First, I want again to express my profound gratitude to Jens
Stoltenberg for the tremendous job he has done in the past ten years. Few
leaders of this Alliance faced a more challenging geopolitical environment. But
Jens steered us through difficult times with a steady hand. He played a big part
in making today’s NATO stronger than ever, and he leaves behind an enduring
legacy. I also want to thank the 32 Allies for their trust and confidence, for
choosing me as his successor. I am deeply honoured to serve as Secretary General
of NATO – the most successful political-military Alliance in history. But NATO
Allies face serious challenges. And we have work to do. At the Washington
Summit, Allies set a clear course towards a safer world for the 1 billion people
we serve. Now it is my job to ensure that we collectively implement these
decisions and continue to adapt our Alliance to a more complex world. All 32
Allies have their unique role to play. And there is nothing we cannot achieve
together. I have three priorities: Ensure we have the capabilities to protect
against any threat; Support Ukraine in fighting back against Russian aggression;
and Addressing the growing global challenges to Euro-Atlantic security. First,
on our military capabilities. NATO’s core mission is to ensure our collective
deterrence and defence. Over the past decade, we have made tremendous progress
in ensuring we have the forces and capabilities to deter and defend against any
threat, from any direction. But we must go further and faster to meet enormous
challenge ahead. We need more, better equipped forces; A more robust
transatlantic defence industry; Increased defence production capacity; Greater
investment in innovation; and Secure supply chains. Allies are already stepping
up, with plans to acquire thousands of air defence and artillery systems; many
hundreds of modern aircraft, mostly 5th generation F-35s; as well as substantial
high-end capabilities. But to truly match our capabilities with our needs, we
need significantly more defence spending. I will work with Allies to ensure that
we invest enough, in the right areas, and that we shoulder the burden for our
collective defence equitably. We must each pay our fair share. My next priority
is support for Ukraine. I have travelled to Ukraine several times in recent
years. To Odessa, Kyiv, Bucha, Borodianka, and Kharkiv, close to the Russian
border… Where I witnessed first-hand the brutality of Russia’s war of
aggression, And the bravery of Ukraine’s people in their fight for freedom.
Supporting Ukraine is the right thing to do. And it is also an investment in our
own security. Because an independent and democratic Ukraine is vital for peace
and stability in Europe. And the cost of supporting Ukraine is far, far lower
than the cost we would face if we allow Putin to get his way. I know from
personal experience, with the downing of flight MH17, how the conflict in
Ukraine is not contained to the frontlines. It was a tragedy that shook my
country ten years ago. One that must never be repeated. At the Washington
Summit, Allies agreed a support package for Ukraine, including with a NATO
command, a long-term financial pledge, and an irreversible path to membership. I
will work with Allies to ensure that we fully implement our decisions and that
we continue to bring Ukraine ever closer to NATO. NATO’s focus must remain,
obviously, on Euro-Atlantic security, keeping our 1 billion people safe. But the
threats we face are increasingly global. Therefore I will deepen our
partnerships with like-minded nations, near and far, that share our values. The
European Union is NATO’s unique and essential partner. There is potential to
boost our cooperation in many areas, from supporting Ukraine to countering
hybrid threats. Transcript continues:

Joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and President
Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, in Kyiv, 3 October 2024. During his maiden trip
as NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte visited Kyiv. The Secretary General met
with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and pledged continued support
for Ukraine in its war with Russia. 🗣 | NATO Secretary General: Dear Volodymyr,
Thank you for your warm welcome. This is now my fifth time in Ukraine since the
full onslaught of Russia started in February 2022. Together we visited Odessa,
we visited Kharkiv, and obviously we had numerous meetings here in Kyiv. But
this is my very first time as NATO Secretary General, and it was important to me
that I come to Ukraine at the start of my mandate. To make crystal clear to you,
to the people of Ukraine, and to everyone watching, that NATO stands with
Ukraine. As the new NATO Secretary General, it is my priority and my privilege
to take this support forward, working with you to ensure that Ukraine prevails.
Volodymyr, I have said this before and I say it again, your tireless leadership
is an inspiration to me, to us all. The dedication of your armed forces and the
determination of the Ukrainian people remind us of just how precious freedom is.
And how crucial it is that we do all we can to defend it. And this is why NATO
was founded 75 years ago – to safeguard the freedom and security of all of our
members. And this is why we are so committed to supporting Ukraine – because
your security matters for ours, and your fight for freedom reflects our core
principles and values. NATO Allies have provided Ukraine with unprecedented
support since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022. Including more
than 99% of all military aid. But we know that you need more. So Allies agreed
at the NATO Summit in Washington this summer to make sure we could provide you
with more – more equipment, more training, more support. We are setting up a
NATO Command to coordinate the provision of security assistance and training –
helping to ensure that Ukraine has what it needs, gets what is promised, and
that the support provided today contributes to building a NATO-interoperable
future, in the future. Allies also have agreed to a financial pledge. With a
baseline of 40 billion euros worth of military aid within a year. And a
commitment to review this level of support every year, so that Ukraine has what
it needs to prevail. We know the need is urgent. And we are working hard to do
more, and more quickly. In the last few weeks, several Allies announced further
military aid for Ukraine Including new contributions from Denmark, from Latvia,
the United Kingdom, and nearly 8 billion dollars of assistance from the United
States. Supporting Ukraine and replenishing our own stocks means increasing
industrial production, and that will be a priority for me. That is why in
Washington, Allies agreed to enhance our defence industrial capacity. Working
among Allies – on both sides of the Atlantic. And also with you, with Ukraine.
To help build your domestic capacity, which has proven so effective and can only
be improved with further investment and further innovation. Indeed, as you said,
today, we discussed all of these elements. The areas where Ukraine needs further
support. And the ways in which NATO is working to provide it. Ukraine is closer
to NATO than ever before. And will continue on this path until you become a
member of our Alliance. I very much look forward to that day. Mr President, dear
Volodymyr, NATO stands with Ukraine. For your security, and for ours. Thank you
once again. Transcript continues:

Press conference by incoming NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at NATO HQ in
Brussels, Belgium, 1 October 2024. 🗣 | NATO Secretary General: Good
afternoon. And I am glad to see all you here today. Brussels has one of the
largest international press corps in the world and I am looking forward to be
working with you. First, I want again to express my profound gratitude to
Jens Stoltenberg for the tremendous job he has done in the past ten years.
Few leaders of this Alliance faced a more challenging geopolitical
environment. But Jens steered us through difficult times with a steady hand.
He played a big part in making today’s NATO stronger than ever, and he leaves
behind an enduring legacy. I also want to thank the 32 Allies for their trust
and confidence, for choosing me as his successor. I am deeply honoured to
serve as Secretary General of NATO – the most successful political-military
Alliance in history. But NATO Allies face serious challenges. And we have
work to do. At the Washington Summit, Allies set a clear course towards a
safer world for the 1 billion people we serve. Now it is my job to ensure
that we collectively implement these decisions and continue to adapt our
Alliance to a more complex world. All 32 Allies have their unique role to
play. And there is nothing we cannot achieve together. I have three
   priorities: Ensure we have the capabilities to protect against any threat;
Support Ukraine in fighting back against Russian aggression; and Addressing
the growing global challenges to Euro-Atlantic security. First, on our
military capabilities. NATO’s core mission is to ensure our collective
deterrence and defence. Over the past decade, we have made tremendous
progress in ensuring we have the forces and capabilities to deter and defend
against any threat, from any direction. But we must go further and faster to
meet enormous challenge ahead. We need more, better equipped forces; A more
   robust transatlantic defence industry; Increased defence production capacity;
Greater investment in innovation; and Secure supply chains. Allies are
already stepping up, with plans to acquire thousands of air defence and
artillery systems; many hundreds of modern aircraft, mostly 5th generation
F-35s; as well as substantial high-end capabilities. But to truly match our
capabilities with our needs, we need significantly more defence spending. I
will work with Allies to ensure that we invest enough, in the right areas,
and that we shoulder the burden for our collective defence equitably. We must
each pay our fair share. My next priority is support for Ukraine. I have
travelled to Ukraine several times in recent years. To Odessa, Kyiv, Bucha,
Borodianka, and Kharkiv, close to the Russian border… Where I witnessed
first-hand the brutality of Russia’s war of aggression, And the bravery of
Ukraine’s people in their fight for freedom. Supporting Ukraine is the right
thing to do. And it is also an investment in our own security. Because an
independent and democratic Ukraine is vital for peace and stability in
Europe. And the cost of supporting Ukraine is far, far lower than the cost we
would face if we allow Putin to get his way. I know from personal experience,
with the downing of flight MH17, how the conflict in Ukraine is not contained
to the frontlines. It was a tragedy that shook my country ten years ago. One
that must never be repeated. At the Washington Summit, Allies agreed a
support package for Ukraine, including with a NATO command, a long-term
financial pledge, and an irreversible path to membership. I will work with
Allies to ensure that we fully implement our decisions and that we continue
to bring Ukraine ever closer to NATO. NATO’s focus must remain, obviously, on
Euro-Atlantic security, keeping our 1 billion people safe. But the threats we
face are increasingly global. Therefore I will deepen our partnerships with
like-minded nations, near and far, that share our values. The European Union
is NATO’s unique and essential partner. There is potential to boost our
cooperation in many areas, from supporting Ukraine to countering hybrid
   threats. Transcript continues:

Joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and President
Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, in Kyiv, 3 October 2024. During his maiden
trip as NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte visited Kyiv. The Secretary
General met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and pledged
continued support for Ukraine in its war with Russia. 🗣 | NATO Secretary
General: Dear Volodymyr, Thank you for your warm welcome. This is now my
fifth time in Ukraine since the full onslaught of Russia started in February
2022. Together we visited Odessa, we visited Kharkiv, and obviously we had
numerous meetings here in Kyiv. But this is my very first time as NATO
Secretary General, and it was important to me that I come to Ukraine at the
start of my mandate. To make crystal clear to you, to the people of Ukraine,
and to everyone watching, that NATO stands with Ukraine. As the new NATO
Secretary General, it is my priority and my privilege to take this support
forward, working with you to ensure that Ukraine prevails. Volodymyr, I have
said this before and I say it again, your tireless leadership is an
inspiration to me, to us all. The dedication of your armed forces and the
determination of the Ukrainian people remind us of just how precious freedom
is. And how crucial it is that we do all we can to defend it. And this is why
NATO was founded 75 years ago – to safeguard the freedom and security of all
of our members. And this is why we are so committed to supporting Ukraine –
because your security matters for ours, and your fight for freedom reflects
our core principles and values. NATO Allies have provided Ukraine with
unprecedented support since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022.
Including more than 99% of all military aid. But we know that you need more.
So Allies agreed at the NATO Summit in Washington this summer to make sure we
could provide you with more – more equipment, more training, more support. We
are setting up a NATO Command to coordinate the provision of security
assistance and training – helping to ensure that Ukraine has what it needs,
gets what is promised, and that the support provided today contributes to
building a NATO-interoperable future, in the future. Allies also have agreed
to a financial pledge. With a baseline of 40 billion euros worth of military
aid within a year. And a commitment to review this level of support every
year, so that Ukraine has what it needs to prevail. We know the need is
urgent. And we are working hard to do more, and more quickly. In the last few
weeks, several Allies announced further military aid for Ukraine Including
new contributions from Denmark, from Latvia, the United Kingdom, and nearly 8
billion dollars of assistance from the United States. Supporting Ukraine and
replenishing our own stocks means increasing industrial production, and that
will be a priority for me. That is why in Washington, Allies agreed to
enhance our defence industrial capacity. Working among Allies – on both sides
of the Atlantic. And also with you, with Ukraine. To help build your domestic
capacity, which has proven so effective and can only be improved with further
investment and further innovation. Indeed, as you said, today, we discussed
all of these elements. The areas where Ukraine needs further support. And the
ways in which NATO is working to provide it. Ukraine is closer to NATO than
ever before. And will continue on this path until you become a member of our
Alliance. I very much look forward to that day. Mr President, dear Volodymyr,
NATO stands with Ukraine. For your security, and for ours. Thank you once
   again. Transcript continues:

NATO SECRETARY GENERAL MARK RUTTE'S FIRST PRESS CONFERENCE, 01 OCT 2024

 * Report rights infringement
 * published: 01 Oct 2024

And there is nothing we cannot achieve
together. I have three priorities: Ensure we have the capabilities to protect
against any threat; Support Ukraine in fighting back against Russian aggression;
and Addressing the growing global challenges to Euro-Atlantic security. First,
on our military capabilities.

Press conference by incoming NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at NATO
HQ in Brussels, Belgium, 1 October 2024. 🗣 | NATO Secretary General:
Good afternoon. And I am glad to see all you here today. Brussels has one of
the largest international press corps in the world and I am looking
forward to be working with you. First, I want again to express my profound
gratitude to Jens Stoltenberg for the tremendous job he has done in the past
ten years. Few leaders of this Alliance faced a more challenging
geopolitical environment. But Jens steered us through difficult times
with a steady hand. He played a big part in making today’s NATO stronger than
ever, and he leaves behind an enduring legacy. I also want to thank the 32
Allies for their trust and confidence, for choosing me as his successor. I
am deeply honoured to serve as Secretary General of NATO – the most
successful political-military Alliance in history. But NATO Allies
face serious challenges. And we have work to do. At the Washington Summit,
Allies set a clear course towards a safer world for the 1 billion people we
serve. Now it is my job to ensure that we collectively implement these
decisions and continue to adapt our Alliance to a more complex world. All
32 Allies have their unique role to play. And there is nothing we cannot
achieve together. I have three priorities: Ensure we have the
capabilities to protect against any threat; Support Ukraine in fighting
back against Russian aggression; and Addressing the growing global
challenges to Euro-Atlantic security. First, on our military
capabilities. NATO’s core mission is to ensure our collective
deterrence and defence. Over the past decade, we have made tremendous
progress in ensuring we have the forces and capabilities to deter and
defend against any threat, from any direction. But we must go further and
faster to meet enormous challenge ahead. We need more, better equipped
forces; A more robust transatlantic defence industry; Increased defence
production capacity; Greater investment in innovation; and Secure
supply chains. Allies are already stepping up, with plans to acquire
thousands of air defence and artillery systems; many hundreds of modern
aircraft, mostly 5th generation F-35s; as well as substantial high-end
capabilities. But to truly match our capabilities with our needs, we
need significantly more defence spending. I will work with Allies to
ensure that we invest enough, in the right areas, and that we shoulder the
burden for our collective defence equitably. We must each pay our fair
share. My next priority is support for Ukraine. I have travelled to Ukraine
several times in recent years. To Odessa, Kyiv, Bucha, Borodianka, and
Kharkiv, close to the Russian border… Where I witnessed first-hand the
brutality of Russia’s war of aggression, And the bravery of Ukraine’s
people in their fight for freedom. Supporting Ukraine is the right thing to
do. And it is also an investment in our own security. Because an
independent and democratic Ukraine is vital for peace and stability in
Europe. And the cost of supporting Ukraine is far, far lower than the cost we
would face if we allow Putin to get his way. I know from personal
experience, with the downing of flight MH17, how the conflict in Ukraine is
not contained to the frontlines. It was a tragedy that shook my country ten
years ago. One that must never be repeated. At the Washington Summit,
Allies agreed a support package for Ukraine, including with a NATO
command, a long-term financial pledge, and an irreversible path to
membership. I will work with Allies to ensure that we fully implement our
decisions and that we continue to bring Ukraine ever closer to NATO. NATO’s
focus must remain, obviously, on Euro-Atlantic security, keeping our 1
billion people safe. But the threats we face are increasingly global.
Therefore I will deepen our partnerships with like-minded nations, near
and far, that share our values. The European Union is NATO’s unique and
essential partner. There is potential to boost our cooperation in many
areas, from supporting Ukraine to countering hybrid threats. Transcript

Joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, in Kyiv, 3 October 2024. During
his maiden trip as NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte visited Kyiv. The
Secretary General met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy
and pledged continued support for Ukraine in its war with Russia. 🗣 | NATO
Secretary General: Dear Volodymyr, Thank you for your warm welcome. This is
now my fifth time in Ukraine since the full onslaught of Russia started in
February 2022. Together we visited Odessa, we visited Kharkiv, and
obviously we had numerous meetings here in Kyiv. But this is my very first
time as NATO Secretary General, and it was important to me that I come to
Ukraine at the start of my mandate. To make crystal clear to you, to the
people of Ukraine, and to everyone watching, that NATO stands with Ukraine.
As the new NATO Secretary General, it is my priority and my privilege
to take this support forward, working with you to ensure that Ukraine
prevails. Volodymyr, I have said this before and I say it again, your
tireless leadership is an inspiration to me, to us all. The dedication
of your armed forces and the determination of the Ukrainian people remind
us of just how precious freedom is. And how crucial it is that we do all we
can to defend it. And this is why NATO was founded 75 years ago – to
safeguard the freedom and security of all of our members. And this is why
we are so committed to supporting Ukraine – because your security
matters for ours, and your fight for freedom reflects our core principles
and values. NATO Allies have provided Ukraine with unprecedented support
since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022. Including more than
99% of all military aid. But we know that you need more. So Allies agreed at
the NATO Summit in Washington this summer to make sure we could provide you
with more – more equipment, more training, more support. We are setting up a
NATO Command to coordinate the provision of security assistance and
training – helping to ensure that Ukraine has what it needs, gets what is
promised, and that the support provided today contributes to building a
NATO-interoperable future, in the future. Allies also have agreed to a
financial pledge. With a baseline of 40 billion euros worth of military
aid within a year. And a commitment to review this level of support every
year, so that Ukraine has what it needs to prevail. We know the need is
urgent. And we are working hard to do more, and more quickly. In the last few
weeks, several Allies announced further military aid for Ukraine
Including new contributions from Denmark, from Latvia, the United
Kingdom, and nearly 8 billion dollars of assistance from the United
States. Supporting Ukraine and replenishing our own stocks means
increasing industrial production, and that will be a priority for me.
That is why in Washington, Allies agreed to enhance our defence
industrial capacity. Working among Allies – on both sides of the
Atlantic. And also with you, with Ukraine. To help build your domestic
capacity, which has proven so effective and can only be improved with
further investment and further innovation. Indeed, as you said, today,
we discussed all of these elements. The areas where Ukraine needs further
support. And the ways in which NATO is working to provide it. Ukraine is
closer to NATO than ever before. And will continue on this path until you
become a member of our Alliance. I very much look forward to that day. Mr
President, dear Volodymyr, NATO stands with Ukraine. For your security, and
for ours. Thank you once again. Transcript continues: https:// www. nato.

NO TE PARES

by: Ska P

No te pares
Hoy, firmando el finiquito
Yo reboso de ilusión
Me he quedado sin trabajo
En paro y sin liquidación
Con la abuela, con la suegra
Con dos niños qué marrón!
Tío, vaya suerte
Hago yo el cuarto millón
No puedo pagar el piso
Voy a tener que hipotecar
Y las letras se acumulan
Yo no las puedo pagar
Qué alegría, amigo mío
Ya no puedo ni sobar
Ni con el agua imantada
Ni la almohada cervical
Y nos dicen desde arriba:
"Hay que apretarse el cinturón"
Yo, como siga apretando
Me giño en el pantalón
A ellos no les afecta
Es que no llevan cinturón
Sus sueldos son enormes
Trapicheos, corrupción
SOY UN NUEVO PARAO
CAMINO DEL INEM
SOY UN NUEVO PRINGAO
SI, OH SI
Me explicó una funcionaria
Muy activa del INEM
Donde dije dijo Diego
Y donde digo ya diré
La Contitución me ampara
Democracia de pastel
Con un poco de suerte
Hoy no tengo "pa" comer
Mientras tanto, tu tranquilo
No te vayas a cansar
Ya somos cuatro millones
Y aquí no ha pasao "na"
Vaya sociedad pasiva!
Amigo mío, hay que luchar
Democracia significa
Que el pueblo ha de gobernar
SOY UN NUEVO PARADO
CAMINO DEL INEM
SOY UN NUEVO PRINGAO
SI, OH SI
