Instead of spending hours printing and mailing checks, Automatic Clearing House
(ACH) electronic payments offer an alternative to streamline your payment
processes. This leaves you and your team time to focus on other areas of your
business.


MAKING THE SWITCH TO ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER IS SECURE AND EASY.

ACH payments are quicker and more reliable than paper checks. Plus,
you'll reduce your impact on the environment by using less paper.

THE FAQ'S ABOUT ACH

 * Are there different ACH formats to electronically transfer funds?
   
   Automatic Clearing House (ACH) payments are a type of Electronic Funds
   Transfer. There are two main types of ACH formats:
   
    * Corporate Trade Exchange Format – CTX is a NACHA format that incorporates
      multiple addenda records that are structured in variable length fields.
      The addenda records are the remittance detail for the ACH payment.
      * CTX Format is suggested as it is completely electronic and therefore the
        most efficient.
    * Cash Concentration or Disbursement Format – CCD entry is a NACHA payment
      format that accommodates only the payment amount. This option does not
      allow remittance detail to be provided electronically. 

 * How secure is this form of payment?
   
   Along with being safe and reliable, ACH is more secure than paper checks; it
   reduces the risk of lost, stolen or forged checks. Internal control is
   significantly improved with ACH, reducing the possibility of fraud and theft.

 * Is there a charge associated with using ACH?
   
   There is typically no charge associated with ACH payments. When banks do
   charge a fee for ACH transfers, it tends to be a nominal cost.

 * Why is ACH a benefit for me?
   
   There are a number of benefits for you, including the ability to pay your
   CHEP invoice with a click of a button – and postdate the payment for the due
   date. That means your process is simplified, and you don’t have to write a
   check and get it in the mail days before the due date. And, since we’re all
   focused on making our businesses more sustainable, one of the greatest
   benefits of ACH is environmental. It allows everyone to reduce paper usage,
   and the energy devoted to printing, mailing and delivering paper checks.

 * Do I need to change my existing bank or bank account to use ACH?
   
   There’s no need to change. You continue to use your current bank and bank
   account(s).

 * Do I have to use ACH to pay my CHEP invoice?
   
   Currently, we are still accepting paper checks. However, we are moving toward
   an electronic-only payment process. If you have any questions about the
   process that are not answered here, please contact CHEP at
   Paperless@chep.com.
   
   We hope that once you consider all the benefits ACH offers, you’ll be eager
   to make the change. If not, we greatly value your business and will work with
   you to accommodate your preferences.

 * Can I sign up for ACH and make payments through MyCHEP?
   
   ACH operates through your bank and CHEP’s bank, so it is completely outside
   the MyCHEP system.

 * I'm setup with ACH payments, do I need to send my remittance detail?
   
   If you are setup for ACH utilizing the Corporate Trade Exchange Format (CTX)
   format, your remittance info is included with your payment.
   
   If using any other type of ACH format including Cash Concentration or
   Disbursement Format (CCD), only payment is sent electronically.  Email
   chepus.creditcollections@chep.com with your remittance info or there may be a
   delay in applying payment.

   ACH with CTX addendum is a one step process that allows remittance details to
   be included. Share these details with your financial institution for quicker
