* Army KhukuriIn army khukuri category we offers the various types of
khukuries which have been used by the soldiers. The khukuries found in this
category are famous for the warfare. The Gurkha soldiers have been using
these khukuries for many years. Many Gurkha soldiers have fought the battle
with the help of these khukuries against their enemy and have won the
battle many times. These khukuries have created a great history of brave
Gurkha soldiers. Because of these magnificent khukuries the brave Gurkha
soldiers have become a world renowned warriors for their bravery. The blade
of these khukuries are so thin and fine that they give the khukuries an
excellent cutting power. Though used by army in warfare these khukuries can
be used by any one. Equally beautiful these khukuries can also be used for
the decoration purpose. Ceremonial Khukur knife, Jungle Khukuri knife ,
Nepal Army knife and Service No. 1 are categorized under Army Khukuries.
* Afgan Khukuri (Defender)AEOF or Afghanistan Enduring Operation Freedom
Khukuri Knife is the current issue of Khukuri or Kukri for Gurkhas who are
in Afghanistan war. The Gurkhas are deployed since the war started for
Enduring Operation Freedom in Afghanistan (AEOF). The Regiment decided to
carry new khukuri/kukri fit to the Afghan environment. Therefore the Afghan
Kukri is issued to Gurkhas serving in Afghanistan. So the name of this
Khukuri/Kukri is derived after the Aftanistan war. The design and shape of
the handle is crafted to give the best possible and fast handling. The full
flat tang goes all the way thorugh the handle, glued to the wooden pieces
and further riveted with whitemetal to strenghen the whole fixture. This
AEOF khukuri/kukri comes two pockets on the back of the scabbard which hold
a sharpener called “chakmak” for sharpening the blade and a little utility
knife known as “karda” used for skinning, cutting paper and opening later.
The notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most
khukuries/khukuris serves as conduit for the blood on the blade to drip
out, this preventing it from soiling the hilt.
* Ankhola KhukuriThis khukuri is made in Ankhola village in eastern Nepal. It
is similar to the Bhojpure Khukuri, however unlike the Bhojpuri, it is
forged in a different manner and is perhaps one of the most difficult to
craft. The handle is made in metallic forms for durability and to give a
fancy look The makers also give emphasis on the extra weight to the blade.
This khukuri was made by highly skilled craftsmen of Eastern part of Nepal.
* Bhojpure Khukuri (Recommended)In this Village type khukuri we offers the
various types of Bhojpure Khukuri which are known by the the name of the
village where the khukuri have been made. Different khukuries are made in
different village and because of this fact most khukuri get their name. The
craftsmen of these village are expert in khukuri making and have been in
this business from generations. Because of the expert khukuri makers, these
villages are famous all over Nepal and these villages are popular because

* Chainpure KhukuriThis khukuri is originated form small village called
Chainpur which lies in the eastern part of Nepal. This Khukuri has a
beautiful blade and a unique handle beautifully carved Indian rosewood. The
blade is made slimmer and lighter than the army types. This khukuri is not
used for warfare’s but is used as decorative piece or as a domestic weapon
by Gurkhas. This khukuri was crafted by highly skilled blacksmith of
Eastern part of Nepal. This of Chainpure Khukuri and is mostly used for
normal task.
* Carved KhukuriIn this carved type khukuri knife, Khukuri Knife offers the
various types of khukuries knives which are carved with beautiful carved
designs. The entire carving is done by skillful craftsmen using domestic
tools. Our khukuries are carved with famous temple, dragon and mountain
scenes. But the khukuries can be carved in any designs. We accept almost

other khukuri and balance the knife. It is designed to do heavy duty.
* Chukuri Khukuri (Ferious)In this section we offer different types of
Chukuri. The name derives from the combination of Churi (local name for
small knife) and the khukuri so the name of this khukuri comes from Churri
+ Khukuri = Chukuri. The blade of this Chukuri knife is the mixture of both
khukuri/kukri and knife. It has khukuri shape in the lower spine (or main
cutting part) of the blade and knife shape on the upper spine at the end of
the blade. It can be used for both purposes as khukuri and as utility knife
when required. A metal hand guard is attached just above the handle at the
bottom of the blade of the khukuri which is known as Kabjawal for the
safety of the user. This system is newly designed and very useful for
special task like tough and heavy duty.
* Chitlange Khukuri KnifeThis is the newer and nicer version of the
Chitlange. This khukuri represents a village in Nepal called Chitlange.The
shape of the knife is made similar to that of Chainpure, however with a
better touch. The forging of the blade from the tip all the way down to the
notch makes the khukuri very special as this is the hardest part of
crafting for the skilled craftsman costing more effort and time. The horn
handle is nicely made for much easier grip. The buffalo leather case has
triangular design which gives the newer and nicer touch too.
* Dhankute (Traditional)

* Dhankute Khukuri (Magestic)Dhankuta is a village located in Eastern part of
Nepal and this type of Khukuri is made only in this village. Hence it is
called “Dhankute Khukuri”. People mostly use it as a decorative tool
because of its elegant and delicate look therefore it is named as Dhankute
decorative. This khukuri is made very attractive. The blade is slimmer and
lighter than the army types. Only the skilled craftsmen of this village can
make this kind of khukuri. The craftsmen craft these khukuris with national
symbols such as King’s Crown “Shreepech”, National Bird “Danphe”, Gurkha
insignia “Crossed Khukuris” and the National Fish “Aasla”. These khukuris
