RAINFALL MONITORING TOOL FOR PARAMETRIC INSURANCE POLICY

This site provides access to the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company
(PCRIC) Rainfall Monitoring Tool for the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Assessment and
Financing Initiative (PCRAFI) member countries. This system monitors rainfall
data from NASA’s Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) dataset and alerts the
Calculation Agent to potential Eligible Events. This data is then input to the
Loss Valuation Methodology to determine whether policy trigger conditions are
met.

The site was developed by JBA Risk Management in conjunction with JBA
Consulting.
