Skip to main content * English (US) English (UK)English (US)Tiếng Việt中文(简体) * Help * English (US) English (UK)English (US)Tiếng Việt中文(简体) * Consent to Collection and Processing of Data This application platform (“Platform”) is operated by HireVue in order to facilitate completion of pre-employment processes provided to our Clients (i.e., employers) as part of our “Services.” Our Platform and Services include, but are not limited to, employment assessments, job simulations, online interviews and/or other recruitment-related experiences for job candidates and/or job seekers (together “Candidates”) by connecting them with recruiters, hiring managers and/or further interviewers (collectively, “Recruiters”) and/or with job postings on behalf of our Clients. Individuals who access and use the Platform or Services, including Candidates, Recruiters and Employers, may be referred to herein collectively as “Users.” The responsible entity for any Data (as defined below) that is collected and processed through the Platform and Services for both Candidates and Recruiters is (i) the entity with whom the Candidate submitted an employment application as specified in the respective job posting or (ii) the entity through whom Candidate or Recruiter accessed the Platform (i.e., our “Client” and the “Data Controller”). HireVue processes the Data (i.e., as the “Data Processor”) at the direction of our Client. When using this Platform and Services, all data provided by a User (generally in connection with a virtual interview or assessment), is collected via video and/or audio recordings, SMS text messages, and/or question responses (collectively “Data”). Such Data is processed and digitally stored in accordance with HireVue’s Retention Policy and Privacy Policy. Audio and video recordings are NOT further processed to be used for identification purposes (i.e., not digitally modified into voiceprints or facial recognition files) and therefore should not be defined as biometric data subject to any biometric information protection regulations. HireVue may convert the raw Data from the recordings into text format for purposes of providing the Services. Our Client as the Data Controller will have access to the Data. The Data – connected with a User’s first name, last name, e-mail address and/or cell phone number – will be collected and processed and used by HireVue on behalf of our Client for the purpose of providing the Services, including documenting the virtual interviews and processing the assessments that were carried out by Recruiters during the Candidate selection process related to the Candidate’s application to a job posting with our Client. In addition, Candidates may have the option to add attachments (i.e., a CV or Resume) which might contain additional Data, including sensitive data. The Data, including such attachments, will be protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. HireVue utilizes a third-party data host provider (“DHP”) as a subprocessor. The DHP data centres are located in Australia. Where the level of data protection in Australia is different to the level of data protection as a User’s home country, the Data Controller and HireVue will take measures to ensure an adequate level of data protection. By way of example, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses are one means of doing so. You may revoke your consent to the collection, processing and use of your Data at any time by contacting HireVue at support@hirevue.com. Upon receiving a revocation of consent request, HireVue will promptly contact our Client as the Data Controller and, if approved by the Data Controller, delete the Data as requested, unless retention is required by law or HireVue’s record retention requirements as noted in the Retention Policy. If HireVue is unable to delete the Data, HireVue or our Client as the Data Controller will inform you of the reasons for this retention. HireVue takes precautions in order to ensure the highest possible protection of the Data. All Data that is collected, processed and used in the context of provision of HireVue Services or use of the Platform is protected against unauthorized access and manipulation through appropriate technical and organizational measures and in compliance with applicable law.
