Read More THE GLOBAL COMMISSION ON ADAPTATION UNDERWAY July 9, 2019 The Global Commission on Adaptation (GCA) is an international collaboration of nations and adaptation experts led by Bill Gates (Co-Founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), Kristalina Georgieva (CEO of the World Bank) and Ban Ki-moon (8th Secretary General of the United Nations). Its objective is to raise the political profile of climate change adaptation and bringing scale and speed to adaptation solutions. With 19 convening nations, Canada is one of the five countries who will be financially contributing to the GCA, providing $7.5 million dollars over the course of two years.
