DIPLOMA IN MULTIMEDIA JOURNALISM

12 working and freelance journalists participating from eight media have
received the certificate of completion in the Diploma in Multimedia Journalism
(MMJ) program. Bodhi Media & Communications Institute (BMCI) conducted the
training program in collaboration with Asian Institute of Journalism and
Communications and the Journalists’ Association of Bhutan with financial support
from UNESCO IPDC. Four more participants were given certificates of completion

The webinar was conducted to understand whether our journalists have a
supportive work environment and the role of stakeholders in safeguarding their
wellbeing on March 29th 2022 as a part of Multi Media Journalism class of

A field visit to the Solar and Wind Plant located in Rubesa, Wangduephodrang was
made as a part of Multimedia Journalism 2021-2022 training program for 14
trainees led by the trainer of Writing & Reporting module Mr. Gopilal Acharya.

renewable source of electricity from Solar and Wind Plant located in Ruebisa,

50 students from Yurung Central School,Yadi Central School, Shaba Higher
Secondary School, Wangduechhoeling LSS, Phuentsholing Rigsar Higher Secondary,
Gedu Higher Secondary School, Jakar Higher Secondary School and Tshangkha
Central School participated in the preliminary round of Digital Challenge 2024.

media, CSOs and corporations attended a day long Workshop on Cyber Hygiene at
Hotel Changangkha in Thimphu on June 3. We would like to thank our resource

Cyber Security training for network engineers for two batches completed
successfully. The trainings are a part of the cybersecurity project to develop

TRAINING ON ELECTION REPORTING FOR BHUTANESE JOURNALISTS SUPPORTED BY UNESCO

A three-day training on Election Reporting was organized by BMCI in
collaboration with JAB and with support from IPDC UNESCO. The training was
conducted with the aim of imparting relevant knowledge and skills to Bhutanese
journalists in covering elections in a free and fair manner. We would like to
thank the trainers, the UNESCO Office, New Delhi, the Election Commission of
Bhutan, the Journalist Association of Bhutan, the Bhutan Media Foundation,

ICDL CHALLENGE

Grand finalists have emerged from a pool of 10,000 students representing over
100 schools across 13 territories in Asia this year, showcasing their digital
skills in the Business, Design, and Emerging Technologies tracks. Out of 100
schools across 13 territories in Asia this year, 70 students from 14 different
schools and colleges in Bhutan participated in Digital Challenge 2023 out of
which, 29 students were selected for the National Round. From which only 8

CAPACITY BUILDING ON CYBERSECURITY

Cyber Security training for network engineers for two batches completed
successfully. The trainings are a part of the cybersecurity project to develop
capacity of network engineers in Bhutan. BMCI organised the training in

International Certification for Digital Literacy(ICDL), Asia Digital Challenge
2024 is now open. Digital Challenge aims to search and recognise the top
students with best digital skills in Asia. The Challenge is open to students

TRAINING ON ELECTION REPORTING FOR BHUTANESE JOURNALISTS SUPPORTED BY UNESCO

A three-day training on Election Reporting was organized by BMCI in
collaboration with JAB and with support from IPDC UNESCO. The training was
conducted with the aim of imparting relevant knowledge and skills to Bhutanese
journalists in covering elections in a free and fair manner. We would like to
thank the trainers, the UNESCO Office, New Delhi, the Election Commission of
Bhutan, the Journalist Association of Bhutan, the Bhutan Media Foundation,
Kuensel, and all the participating media organizations for your continued

ICDL CHALLENGE

Grand finalists have emerged from a pool of 10,000 students representing over
100 schools across 13 territories in Asia this year, showcasing their digital
skills in the Business, Design, and Emerging Technologies tracks. Out of 100
schools across 13 territories in Asia this year, 70 students from 14 different
schools and colleges in Bhutan participated in Digital Challenge 2023 out of
which, 29 students were selected for the National Round. From which only 8

DIPLOMA IN MULTIMEDIA JOURNALISM

12 working and freelance journalists participating from eight media have
received the certificate of completion in the Diploma in Multimedia Journalism
(MMJ) program. Bodhi Media & Communications Institute (BMCI) conducted the
training program in collaboration with Asian Institute of Journalism and
Communications and the Journalists’ Association of Bhutan with financial support
