solutions across the country. One of the most important developments came when
FedEx acquired Rapidão Cometa in 2012, which expanded the company’s service
capacity by adding domestic transport and logistics services within Brazil. The
global integration of TNT’s network following its acquisition by FedEx in 2016
further expanded the company’s presence in the country. The FedEx network
includes an international gateway that offers five international flights per

2040, as part of its goal to reach carbon-neutral operations by the same year.

When two 10-month-old Alaskan coastal brown bears were orphaned in Anchorage,
Alaska, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) was called in to assist.
Officials safely recovered the bears and temporarily housed them at the Alaska

Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County, Indiana, nominated by Joel Engle II,

The the NOKY Hub Team in Independence, Kentucky, celebrated Global Volunteer
Month by committing to acts of service every week in April 2024. One week the

research program for college students in engineering programs. A team of seniors

data-logging system to remotely monitor, test, and evaluate small-scale turbine
performance under various operating conditions. Once completed, they presented

employees provided the family with a holiday-worthy feast. John was recognized

Oklahoma City was one of the locations FedEx worked with One Tree Planted, a
nonprofit on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by
planting trees. FedEx helped launch the Urban Forestry Action Fund in 2022, a

cities to address environmental justice issues and help communities achieve tree

FedEx inaugurated the new Delhi Export facility in April 2023. The 18,000 sq ft
area includes offices, sorting systems, operations areas, and a warehouse and
can sort up to 8,500 packages per hour. The facility uses solar-generated
electricity from the airport operator and a variable refrigerant volume (VRV)
cooling system that reduces electricity consumption by an estimated 15%. The
walls are painted white for maximum light reflection resulting in reducing
required luminous intensity (lux level) of the light fitting thus reducing
electricity consumption. Additionally, more than 200 LED lights have been
installed inside the facility.

Mumbai Economic Impact

FedEx committed USD 10 million to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT)
Bombay and Madras. This initiative, spread across five years, will contribute to
the establishment of a globally recognized ‘Centre of Excellence’ (COE),
strategically located within physical infrastructure on both IIT campuses. This
COE will spearhead research and development while concurrently nurturing a
dynamic talent pool, supporting fellowship programs for master’s and doctorate
students, and actively catalyzing the growth of the startup ecosystem in India.

Mie Prefecture Economic Impact

In May 2023, FedEx shortened transit time for import shipments arriving from
Europe and AMEA markets to some cities in Mie Prefecture. Importers and
businesses can now receive their deliveries one day earlier for inbound
shipments arriving from Europe and Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (AMEA)
to Japan on a weekday.

Osaka, Japan Economic Impact

In December 2023, FedEx concluded a series of clean-up initiatives for local
communities in Osaka, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, and Aichi, resulting in the
removal of 200 kilograms of litter to help the environment. 116 FedEx volunteers
dedicated about 100 hours to collect litter from parks, roads, and riverbanks.
Additionally, in collaboration with sustainability-related NGO, FedEx collected
80 kilograms of debris along the Arakawa riverbank in Tokyo before it reached
the ocean.

In September 2023, FedEx teamed up with the non-profit ChildFund to support the
social needs of less fortunate children in South Korea. Together, they donated
care packages containing eco-friendly school supplies and other necessities for
underprivileged children.

In February 2024, FedEx announced a new flight between South Korea and the US
that offers additional capacity and extended cut-oof times for IPF shipments.
These are new flights in existing lanes using FedEx planes with FedEx pilots and
is part of Tri-Color program.
