IVORY BEECH ENGINEERED HARDWOOD FLOORING

Ivory Beech Engineered Hardwood Flooring summary; This wood is medium plus hard
and is a wood that is to be compared with the white color of white maple, only
less expensive. It is a wood with a natural ivory white look already. Like
maple, ivory beech engineered hardwood flooring has no sap wood and have a nice
soft looking grain.

 

IVORY BEECH FLOORING

 

“Ivory Beech” is a name we have coined for a very special type of Beech
Engineered Hardwood Flooring.

The color tone of Ivory Beech Wood Flooring looks a lot like White Maple, but it
comes with a cheaper price tag.

Ivory Beech is harder than Oak wood and features little and some bigger,
enabling us to offer almost all our Ivory Beech Hardwood Flooring at an AB or BC
grading with the same rustic look as oak wood. Since white oak or white wash oak
is very popular these days. Ivory beech engineered hardwood flooring has that
original white color from nature.

To preserve the original white color we recommend to treat the wood with a soft
white wash. This will reduce the aging of the wood by turning yellow. Ivory
beech can be treated with a top coat after the white wash, so it will be protect
against dirt and water.

Ivory beech is not a wood that you will stain easy, a white wash or a soft grey
is what one can add to this species.

Our advise is to coat Ivory Beech with a soft white ash and protect it with a
polymer oil top coating. This way the wood will not turn to yellow quickly and
the top coat will seal off all pores and protect the white color. Water and dirt
cannot spoil this floor easy than.

 

The Beech tree family consists of 11 accepted species. Only one of these species
from Europe has an extremely white color to it. We found steady suppliers for
this type of beech wood for our Engineered Hardwood Flooring, enabling us to

Beech wood is and has been one of the most popular woods used for flooring in
Europe. It is more resistant against abrasion than Oak wood for example. That’s
why it is often used as factory flooring and in highly frequented areas.

It is native in Europe, North America and Asia. Beech trees can become over 300
years of age and 30-35 meters in height.

Beech wood is a challenge for many wooden flooring producers to process, because
Beech wood likes to “move & shrink” more than other hardwoods in its drying
process. With our Ivory Beech Engineered Hardwood Flooring that issue is being
eliminated because the Beech wood slice is glued to high quality multi-layered
plywood.

Even though Beech wood is very hard, it is easy to cut, sand or polish.

Beech wood will experience an average change in the color tone over time. Heat
will speed that process up, that’s why we don’t recommend Beech wood flooring if
you plan to install floor heating. Actually, steam can be used to manipulate the
natural color tone of Beech wood, and it can flip to a red color tone depending
on steaming time and temperature.

Beech wood is also used to give many smoked foods their characteristic taste
like ham, sausages, and cheeses.
