We upgraded with this mattress from an ancient spring mattress. It was a long
overdue change and the positive results were immediate. I can leave and re-enter
the bed without waking my partner now. My old minor lower back issues have been
resolved and now I'm certain it's because my old mattress was starting to dip in
the center which likely affected sleeping posture. This mattress also seems much
more breathable than memory foam, so we've had no heat issues. Overall a
luxurious upgrade from our last bed. This was recommended to me from a friend
who had previously used a memory foam mattress.

Do I need a bed base for my PurpleFlex™ mattress?
Not all foundations, frames and bases are created equal which is why we’ve
designed a collection of products that work synergistically with Purple
mattresses, to provide you with your best sleep for years to come.
Platform Bed Frame: Lightweight and simple with ample storage space underneath,
this frame holds up to 2,000 lbs. and is designed to prevent squeaking.
Purple Bed Frame: An upholstered, platform-style foundation and headboard that
enhances the comfort and support of your Purple mattress.
Adjustable Bases: The Premium Smart Base & Premium Plus Smart Base let you fully
customize your position whether you’re sleeping, sitting, working or relaxing
with adjustable head and foot sections for premium comfort.
If you opt for an option outside of Purple, make sure your foundation is made
from wood or metal with slats that are less than 3 inches apart and a weight
capacity of 650+ lbs.

Can I return my mattress if I'm not happy with it?
Absolutely. We want you to rest easy with Purple which is why we offer free
returns within 100 nights if you don’t love your mattress. We do ask all
customers to spend at least 21 nights on their mattress before starting a return
or exchange so their bodies have enough time to adjust to Purple’s unique feel
and support. If you’ve tested out your new mattress for 21 days and you’re
within the 100-night trial period, reach out to our Care Team at 1-888-848-2305
to schedule pick up. Upon sending proof of receipt issued at pick-up, we will
initiate a full refund that may take up to 10 days to turnaround from financial

Do Purple mattresses sleep hot?
The temperature control of Purple mattresses was highly tested and engineered to
ensure a cool breathability — a key factor for sound sleep. The GelFlex Grid's
proprietary temperature-neutral material combined with its unique open column
design includes over a thousand air channels to naturally draw excess heat away
so our mattresses don’t sleep hot. Additionally, a layer of comfort core foam
diffuses warmth that other mattresses tend to harbor ensuring the optimal
sleeping temperature.
Can you feel the squares in the GelFlex® Grid?
While you won’t feel like you’re sleeping on a grid of squares, Purple
mattresses may feel a little different than what you’re accustomed to — at least

alignment, the GelFlex® is designed to do the same. We highly recommend sleeping

Does the PurpleFlex™ mattress contain memory foam or latex?
Nope! We know life-changing sleep requires a cool environment and since memory
foam and latex tend to sleep hot, we decided to forego it completely. The
comfort foam that forms the base of all Purple mattresses is a polymer-based
material that quickly responds to pressure and movement.
Does the PurpleFlex™ mattress contain any toxins?
Toxins and restorative sleep do not go hand in hand, which is why all Purple
mattresses are made with non-toxic and hypoallergenic materials that are

Your 100-night trial begins the day your mattress is delivered to your doorstep.
If you decide it isn't a perfect fit for you within the first 100 nights, we'll
have it picked up and issue a full refund. (Awesome, right?)
We do ask all customers to spend at least 21 nights on their mattress before
starting a return or exchange so their bodies have enough time to adjust to
Purple's unique feel + support!
10-Year Warranty
If there's something wrong with your mattress, we'll replace it for up to 10
years, starting from the date of original purchase.
This warranty is valid only if the purchaser uses the product for personal
consumer use. The warranty no longer applies after any resale, whether new or
used. Original, dated proof of purchase by the original purchaser; official
warranty document; and law tags are required to make a warranty claim.
Free Shipping & Returns
Get your mattress shipped straight to you at no extra cost – with complimentary
white-glove delivery available on select mattresses. If you don’t love your
mattress, just contact one of our Sleep Consultants to confirm eligibility and
arrange a free return.
To be eligible for a return, you must be within the 100-night trial period and
have had the mattress for at least 21 days; the mattress must also be clean and
undamaged. You will be refunded the full mattress price minus the value of any
discount, interest accrued, and/or shipping charges.
