Visual Watermark app supports JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF and BMP image formats. RGB,
CMYK 8bit and color managed pictures are supported. Watermarked images are saved
in RGB color space. The app auto-rotates images based on its Orientation tag
value. Preserves EXIF and IPTC information in JPEG files. Supports 100% JPEG
quality. Doesn’t use chroma sub-sampling when saving to JPEG format to preserve
the best possible colors.

FILL A PHOTO WITH TILED WATERMARKS

Tile feature repeats the watermark on your images until they’re completely
filled with it. Enable this feature on the second screen. Tile Span option
controls space between tile repetitions. Repeated watermarks look their best if
slightly rotated.


NUMBER IMAGES AND USE FILENAMES IN WATERMARK

You can number your images using Visual Watermark. Click Add text watermark
button, click Add Symbol button on the right and select Number menu item. This
will include image number as a part of your watermark.

Add Symbol menu allows you to add filename, date the picture was taken and total
number of images as well.


POSITION WATERMARKS AUTOMATICALLY AND MANUALLY

Visual Watermark will place the watermark into the same position for all images
in the batch. If some images need a custom watermark position, you can adjust it
using Preview dialog. It is available on the 3rd program screen.


ADD VERTICAL AND ROTATED WATERMARKS

Sometimes image watermarks are less unobtrusive if aligned along the left or
right side of the photos. Use Rotate option on the second screen to rotate your
watermarks.


SUPPORTED HARDWARE

Visual Watermark runs on all computers with Windows 7, 8 and 10. MacBooks and
iMacs with Mac OS X Lion (10.7) or newer are also supported. Our watermark maker

WHERE SHOULD I PLACE WATERMARKS?

When looking for the right place for your watermark, there are a few things to
keep in mind. Your text or logo shouldn’t be obtrusive and steal all the
attention from the most important part of your photo – the scene or the people
that are depicted in it. At the same time, your watermark can’t be too subtle
and unnoticeable – otherwise, there won’t be much use of it. People won’t see
who the author is.

If you want to know where exactly you should put a watermark, then the answer is
– it depends on its purpose. If your main goal is protection, it would be better
if you place a big watermark in the center of the frame. As an option, you can
also fill up your image with repeated watermarks. Both of these options will
ensure maximum protection of your visual content. However, if you are more
interested in promotion, you can make your watermark small and put it somewhere
around the middle of the frame.

It’s quite common to place a watermark in either corner of an image. On one
hand, it doesn’t distract from the contents of the photo. It looks neat and
aesthetically-pleasing; especially, if the style of a watermark matches the mood
of the image. On the other hand, this placement is weak protection-wise. In
other words, getting rid of it would be incredibly simple.

When you put a watermark on pictures, it’s better to place it right in the
center or somewhere around the central area of the frame. This way, it would be
more challenging to erase or crop out your watermark.

Here are a few more tips:

 * for your watermark to be less obtrusive, make it monochromatic;
 * don’t place your watermark on the most important parts of your image – for
   example, your main subject or people’s faces;
 * the color of your watermark shouldn’t match the background that it’s placed
   on.

1. IS THERE A FREE WATERMARKING APP?

Yes, there are plenty of free watermarking apps that work offline and online.
Some of them have a limit on how many images you can upload per day, while
others offer only a half of the full range of their features in the free
version. There are also apps that add their logo or words “Protected with…” to
the watermarked images unless you buy a subscription or a license. The free
version of our app has some minor limitations as well. However, if you need to
watermark only a handful of images, it should be more than enough.
