MEDICAL INDEMNITY PROTECTION SOCIETY IDENTIFIES DRUVA AS THE IDEAL SOLUTION FOR

The 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant report represented a market shift to include
data protection for cloud and edge, and the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud was
recognized for the first time in the report as a Visionary for Enterprise Backup
and Recovery Software Solutions, positioned highest for its ability to execute

A SaaS-based solution was exactly what Lucian Burns, head of technology at
Medical Indemnity Protection Society (MIPS), was looking for to protect its
Microsoft 365 data, as it would align with his group’s cloud strategy.
“Strategically, we were moving information to the cloud, but were falling short
on protections like backup and data management,” said Burns. “We were looking
for a cost-effective, low-touch, and seamless solution that was out-of-the-box
and aligned to our strategy.”
That’s when Gartner introduced the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud to Burns and

MIPS RECOVERS DELETED SHAREPOINT DATA WITH DRUVA

knew the shift to remote working would mean the company would rely on Microsoft
Teams much more than before, so he migrated all SharePoint content across to
Teams. It turned out that was too big of a shift for staff, so he had to quickly
roll back the migration.
“We knew Teams was the answer, but we went too soon and without preparation, we
needed to roll back quickly. With Druva we were able to restore everything
easily and reliably to known snapshots,” Burns said. “We were able to restore
our entire SharePoint data and Druva delivered peace of mind at a very stressful
time for everyone.”
