They identified 30-year-old Jordan Garrett and a woman who “was found in
distress and exhibited clear signs of physical abuse.”

> Then, they reported, “The victim, in a dire plea for help, silently mouthed
> ‘save me’ to an officer.”

> They later learned she had “multiple bruises and injuries, reportedly
> inflicted by Garrett.”

Both were taken to the hospital.

“Extensive bruising was discovered on the victim's body,” police said. “She
disclosed a harrowing account of being held captive in her residence by Garrett,
enduring repeated physical assaults and sexual abuse.

> “The victim attempted to call for help earlier in the week, but Garrett had
> confiscated her phone, further threatening her.”

According to investigators, “Garrett forcibly detained the victim, subjecting
her to continuous abuse, and prevented her from seeking medical care or
contacting law enforcement.

> “His actions culminated in a situation where the victim's life was in peril,
> and she was denied any means to escape or seek help.”

Garrett got medical clearance and was booked on Saturday.

He’s charged with sexual assault, kidnapping, battery, obstruction of justice,
and obstructing police.
