DIY NAUTICAL CANDLE HOLDERS

My favorite DIYs are Simple + Quick + Inexpensive. And this project was all
three. It cost under $20, only used a few supplies and took just minutes. The
finished product was beautiful and will fit my home in so many ways.
Project Supplies
* Vases
* Candles
* Jute Twine
* Scissors
* Glue Gun
I used a think jute twine to achieve the nautical look. I hot glued one end to
the bottom of the vase and then twisted it around and around the vase until it
was about 1/3 of the way up.
Then I cut the rope and glue gunned the other end to the vase. I didn’t leave
any gaps in the rope, but kept each time around tight to the row below.
This project was just that simple. I added candles inside. You could do this
same project with any size vase and vary up the fillers too. They would be cute
full of bobbers or match the candles to the season or your decor.
I collect old books and love to stack them in all my vignettes. For this
nautical scene I pulled out some blues and reds.Changing out the pillows is
another easy, quick decor change for the seasons.
I bought out two of my favorite pillows from Chandler 4 Corners that have a
nautical touch. Last Fall I redecorated my daughter’s room as part of The One
Room Challenge in a nautical motif. You can see the details here.
The candle holders look great on the coffee table. I think they will work great
on the mantel or the dining room table as well!

I love everything nautical! This is a perfect and simple way to bring a beach
