About Nuix Discover

We utilise eDiscovery software from worldclass provider, Nuix. Access to the
full Nuix suite enables us to import and process tranches of documents for
automatic identification and metadata tagging, making data searchable quickly
and with forensic accuracy.

Data processing and early case assessment is administered through Nuix
Workstation. In Workstation, searches can be conducted using a number of terms,
including date, custodian, email address, and document type, sender or recipient
details, and host or attachment relationships. This enables early identification
and exclusion of duplicates and irrelevant file types, reducing the volume
ultimately reviewed by the legal team.

Legal review is performed in Nuix Discover. For large data sets, a
Continuous Active Learning (CAL) workflow can be adopted to expedite review. The
model uses human-reviewed documents to make predictions on the entire
population. An algorithm is utilised to check for newly reviewed documents at
regular intervals, and uses those documents' scores to refine the predictive
model. The model is then used to re-prioritise review assignments so reviewers
see the highest ranked (most likely to be relevant) documents first. Validation
methods such as conflict checks and estimates of achieved recall and precision
are utilised throughout the process to ensure it is defensible. When the
“recall” is sufficiently high, the review can stop. The final set of relevant
documents can be produced to include a listing catalogue, redactions and unique
identification numbers, and exported in either native or PDF format.

Security

Our eDiscovery security strategy is designed to ensure the highest level of
protection for sensitive data. Aligned with the ISO 27001 framework, our
approach incorporates robust measures, including network segregation, role-based
security, strict access controls, and separation of duties, all governed by the
principle of least privileged. This principle ensures that each user is granted
the minimum level of access necessary to fulfil their job responsibilities,
minimising potential security risks throughout the eDiscovery platform.
