Lassiter Middle School is a “high-progress” school and Lassiter’s students and
staff continue high-performing progress this past school year. Our academic team
won the 2017 District Governor’s Cup Academic Team Championship, and our
orchestra received a distinguished rating at the KMEA Competition. Lassiter has
the second highest market share in the district, meaning more students living in
Lassiter’s resides area choose Lassiter over magnet schools and parochial
schools. Lassiter is known for its safe, structured learning environment and
positive school culture. For the sixth straight year, Lassiter’s suspension rate
decreased while participation in the Beta Club, National Honor Society, and an
array of after-school clubs and activities increased. Students have the
opportunity to join band, chorus, orchestra, archery, baseball, basketball,
cheerleading, volleyball, soccer, and softball. Lassiter is truly one of the
best middle schools in the district.

REGISTRATION - PLEASE READ!! VERY IMPORTANT!!
Welcome to the 2023-24 school year at Lassiter Middle School. JCPS now has an
online portal for you to fill out registration forms required of you and your
child. These forms are in addition to the student information form and
emergency contact card sent home the first week. To access the forms, you
will need to set up a Parent Place account and login, which is different from
your Parent Portal login information.
* Parent Place lets you complete school paperwork online. The link includes
step by step instructions and/or a video to assist you with signing up for
an account. https://apps.jefferson.kyschools.us/ParentAccount
* Parent Portal lets you track your child’s attendance, assignments, daily
grades, and class schedule as well as bus and health information.

In Parent Place, under the OPTIONAL FORMS, please complete the following
* Directory Opt Out / Social Media, Photo, Video Release - so we may post
the positive things occurring at Lassiter.
* Unite Us Consent - should you need any type of assistance now or in the
future.
* EXTENDED SCHOOL SERVICES/ TUTORING
Extended School Services or ESS is Lassiter's after school tutoring and
homework help program. ESS meets every Wednesday from 2:30-4:00. There is no
bus transportation so parents must be at school promptly at 4:00 to pick up
their student. Applications will be sent out in early September. If you have
