AN UNLIKELY LOVE STORY

How did a San Diegan and a North Carolinian come together? Via Ecuador, of
course!

In November of 2016, Marcus decided to make a change and apply to a 7-month
volunteer program at Manna Project International in Ecuador. Hunter had been
living and working there for 6 months already, and was excited to welcome a few
new-comers to Ecuador in January. Two close friends made a joke that Hunter and
Marcus would fall in love, and after 7 long months of incessant flirting, being
asked if we were dating, and complete lack of communication, Hunter and Marcus
finally made it official- on their last day together in Ecuador!

After a long year of long-distance between Colorado and Ecuador, Marcus agreed
to move to North Carolina to be with Hunter, where they have lived ever since
with their Ecuadorian rescue pup ChoCho.

After 4 years together, Marcus proposed where it all began- back in Ecuador-
specifically in one of their all time favorite places- the Amazon town of Tena.
Amidst the lush paradise with birds chirping and the sun turning the sky into
golden hour, Marcus and Marcus and Hunter's previous boss turned friend,
Carolyn, hatched a plan on her back porch. Surrounded by such immense beauty,
with dear friends alongside, Marcus finally asked Hunter to marry him. Hunter
responded, "of course!" and the Mexico wedding planning began!

Hunter and Marcus are so excited to share their love and their journey with each
and every one of you!
