GROUNDBREAKING COLLABORATION BETWEEN CNH INDUSTRIAL, NEW HOLLAND, FERRERO ROCHER
AND A LEADING ITALIAN DESIGN SCHOOL SAW STUDENTS CREATE THEIR OWN CONCEPT
VEHICLES IN ORDER TO OPTIMISE THE HARVESTING OF HAZELNUTS How do you solve a
problem like hazelnuts? It’s not a question one hears every day, nor are
hazelnuts themselves necessarily a problem, but this was never-the-less the
question posed to a group of masters students at the Istituto Europeo di Design
(IED) in Turin, Italy; one of Europe’s top design schools. “The inception of
this ground-breaking project found its roots in a strategic collaboration
between CNH Industrial and IED,” says Michele Albera, an automotive designer and
coordinator of the Transportation Design Area at IED Turin, who helped to lead
the project. “Over the past three years, the partnership has evolved into a
dynamic platform for the exploration of advanced design concepts. At its core,
the collaboration is driven by a mutually beneficial strategy, that also
includes CHH Industrial’s very own New Holland, to engage with the innovative 22
iVT International Off-Highway 2024 This is the third concept variation developed
by the Dumbo team. All focused on excellent manoeuvrability, speed, capacity,
visibility, dust reduction and harvesting hazelnuts close to trees. For another
