 * HOW TO SIDECHAIN | LOGIC PRO X SIDECHAIN COMPRESSION TUTORIAL
   
   When it comes to music production, a lot of people tend to ask questions
   like: "How do you make your kicks hit harder?" or "How do I get that pumping
   sound?" The answer, Sidechain Compression. In this video I am going to be
   showing you how to sidechain using the stock Logic Pro X compressor,
   sidechaining my main chords/melody to a kick. The concept is quite simple but
   sometimes can seem a bit difficult for beginners or people just starting out.
   Essentially, sidechain is compressing one audio signal by using the trigger
   of another, this is what achieves that "pumping" effect or makes kick drums
   really punch through the mix. Although I am using LPX, the concepts in this
   video can be applied to any DAW such as: Ableton Live, FL Studio, Pro Tools,

sample. In Ableton Live we can do the following: 1. Create 2 audio tracks 2.
Place a kick sample on the first track 3. Place a bass pattern on the second
track 4. Drag an instance of compressor onto the second track 5. Click the „open
up“ arrow an select „sidechain“ 6. Select the audio track of your kick as input
from the dropdown menu below „audio from“ 7. Change „ratio“ (up) and „threshold“

   When it comes to music production, a lot of people tend to ask questions
   like: "How do you make your kicks hit harder?" or "How do I get that pumping
   sound?" The answer, Sidechain Compression. In this video I am going to be
   showing you how to sidechain using the stock Logic Pro X compressor,
   sidechaining my main chords/melody to a kick. The concept is quite simple but
   sometimes can seem a bit difficult for beginners or people just starting out.
   Essentially, sidechain is compressing one audio signal by using the trigger
   of another, this is what achieves that "pumping" effect or makes kick drums
   really punch through the mix. Although I am using LPX, the concepts in this
   video can be applied to any DAW such as: Ableton Live, FL Studio, Pro Tools,

When it comes to music pro­duc­tion, a lot of peo­ple tend to ask ques­tions
like: "How do you make your kicks hit hard­er?" or "How do I get that pump­ing
sound?" The an­swer, Sidechain Com­pres­sion. In this video I am going to be
show­ing you how to sidechain using the stock Logic Pro X com­pres­sor,
sidechain­ing my main chords/melody to a kick. The con­cept is quite sim­ple but
some­times can seem a bit dif­fi­cult for be­gin­ners or peo­ple just start­ing
out. Es­sen­tial­ly, sidechain is com­press­ing one audio sig­nal by using the
trig­ger of an­oth­er, this is what achieves that "pump­ing" ef­fect or makes
kick drums re­al­ly punch through the mix. Al­though I am using LPX, the
con­cepts in this video can be ap­plied to any DAW such as: Able­ton Live, FL

Able­ton Live we can do the fol­low­ing: 1. Cre­ate 2 audio tracks 2. Place a
kick sam­ple on the first track 3. Place a bass pat­tern on the sec­ond track 4.
Drag an in­stance of com­pres­sor onto the sec­ond track 5. Click the „open up“
arrow an se­lect „sidechain“ 6. Se­lect the audio track of your kick as input
from the drop­down menu below „audio from“ 7. Change „ratio“ (up) and
