ANNOUNCEMENTS.

Australian Representation at the International Olympiad in Artificial
Intelligence (IOAI) 2024

We are excited to announce that Australia will be represented by two teams at
the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), which will take
place in Bulgaria from August 9th to August 15th, 2024. Each team will comprise
four talented contestants who will compete on the global stage.

The olympiad will be hosted in Bulgaria, a country which has a long tradition of
holding the first editions of international olympiads, such as the International
Olympiad in Informatics in 1989, the International Linguistics Olympiad in 2003,
and the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics in 2017.

The participants will be welcomed in the city of Burgas at the Black Sea coast,
from August 9th to August 15th, 2024.

GOLD AWARD, AUSTRALIAN TEAM (EASTERN REGION).

Our team excelled at the first International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence
in Burgas, Bulgaria, winning the prestigious Practical Round Gold Award. This
team, the youngest in the competition, was composed entirely of middle school
students, with the youngest member being just 12 years old. They tied with the
U.S. team of MIT and Stanford freshmen.
