MINISTRY LEADERS, HERE ARE 5 REASONS WHY YOU NEED TO BE TRAUMA-INFORMED IN YOUR
MINISTRY:

1. CONNECT BETTER WITH THOSE IN NEED

Whether you're a prison chaplain, rescuing people from trafficking, helping
those through divorce or abuse, leading a women’s or a men’s group, running a
small group, or church, or volunteering at a ministry, you encounter individuals
with trauma.

Being trauma-informed helps you connect and support these individuals
effectively.

Maybe your church has shifted from having to handle a lot of people immigrating
to the US with a lot of trauma, and you feel frozen and not sure how to help
best the immense problems coming through your doors.

FAQS

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Faith-based leaders who desire more tools to bring about healing in a way that
addresses not just the spiritual but the body and brain.

Shepherds, Pastors, Church Administrators, Church Ministry Leaders, Rescuers
from trafficking, divorce, and abuse, Leaders of Men’s groups, Leaders of
Women’s groups, Chaplins, Emergency service personnel, EMT, Christian-based
organizations, Veterans ministries, Homeless ministries, and more!

Or if you’re interested in starting a ministry, you’re in the right place.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

You can savor it and do a little each week or binge it—it’s totally up to you!
You can go as fast or slow as you want.

We recommend one hour per week for eight weeks. The videos are clear and concise
to leverage your time, with an average of 20 minutes or less per video.

IS THIS COURSE BIBLICALLY BASED?

Yes. This course is biblically based, and most people are pleasantly surprised
by how much more they can understand God and some of the themes in the Bible as
a result of it.

HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT ME?

Most people remark that they didn’t understand how much they didn’t understand
about themselves and others at the end of the course.

It’s like having scales fall from your eyes, as Paul experienced on the road to
Damascus. You suddenly see the world and people through a different lens.
Self-awareness changes how you give yourself care and how you give others care.

People say they have much more grace for themselves and others, which makes for
happier and more peaceful interactions with everyone.

WHAT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS, GET DISTRACTED, OR GET STUCK?

Monthly support calls, and a private online community provide ongoing
assistance. Submit your questions, which will be answered during a live or
pre-recorded call.

You have lifetime access to the teachings so that life’s twists and turns don’t
prevent you from reaching the finish line.

DO I RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE?

Yes, you’ll receive a certificate of completion to display proudly. Several
people have shared that the training they received is much more encompassing
than other training they were required to take to volunteer for other
organizations.

WHAT IF I WANT TO WORK WITH SHARON ON OTHER ASPECTS OF MY TRAUMA-INFORMED
MINISTRY?

Please email Sharon at admin@traumainformedministry.com, so you both can discuss
help with the following:

 * Vet your ministry volunteers. Therapists use standardized practices to check
the mental health and maturity of those who represent your organization. This
can protect you from future staffing issues and associated liability issues.

 * Group issues specifically targeted to special populations include youth
pastors, care group pastors, nursing homes, chaplains, and emergency service
professionals. You want to care for these populations, and you and those
serving in these groups need accountability.

 * Speaking to members of your organization for a portion of the material in the
   course.
